The beginning scene had my heart on edge...but that's what you want from a thriller. I won't spoil a single thing because I think you'll enjoy it, or at least it will keep your attention. As I always notice, you can tell when Lifetime cares enough to make a good movie.

I will say, not everything here is new to movies, but it's executed really well. Lindsay is great, and I try to catch all of her movies. She's good in these kinds of roles and I'd say she stepped it up with this one. Kyle is basically always a creep on Lifetime (and the opposite on Hallmark lol), so that won't surprise you at all. The actor is very good at it. The rest of the cast is good as well, and there didn't seem to be any useless or wasted characters. Would like to say more but that would potentially spoil the story. There are some unexpected things that happen and the movie is interesting because of it. I didn't notice any gaping plot holes and that is appreciated. Even the camera tricks are well done. The psychological aspects are satisfactory and vague enough so that the movie isn't spouting off nonsense. The worst character in the movie is the detective. Such a chip on her shoulder, and biased to boot. So arrogant and yet so dumb (you'll see why).

Give it a watch. I watched it during the daytime (originally as work background noise) and still was properly creeped out. It's pretty dark compared to most of their thrillers that are often poorly acted and campy. I'll likely come back to this review in a couple of weeks or so after people have a chance to watch it, and add a few thoughts to my review.

Finally, I think the title Deadly Seduction makes it sound like one of the network's campy offerings. Sex, Lies, and Murder is a better title.

Good thriller

I enjoyed this movie. It was predictable. But still had some nice surprises. I found it a welcome escape from the lifetime/Lmn psycho women movies. The actors were believable in their roles. This is an interesting thriller.

This was a Lifetime Movie?

This was not your typical Lifetime movie - - extremely unpleasant opening moving on to the exposition of some really nasty characters.

The main character (Maggie) is a true survivor of a horrendous event and lives to tell about it. Lindsay Hartley plays the part well and I was led to feel sympathy for the character.

The bad guy was REALLY, REALLY, BAD but I won't go further or I'll spoil the movie.

You won't need any drinks to watch the movie, but you'll probably NEED one after you see it.

Pretty good time-waster.

7/10.

Quite a good movie by Lifetime expectations!

Maggie Bogan is a college professor who survived a brutal attack by a serial killer but managed to get away. She shares the story as a college professor with her class giving one of her "students" ideas! Will she be stalked again? Tune in to find out. Graphic and jarring at times, this movie is one of Lifetime's best this year with lots of twists and turns in the plot!!!

Quite good for tv movie!

Warning: Spoilers
Andrew Rogers impressed me as Psycho Kyle! Because I hated his guts from his first scene to the last. He is a good actor. As for the movie it was a well above average TV thriller. Lindsay Hartley was very good in this too!

Oh and as usual a best friend eggs the protagonist on to go for a one night stand. And when the protagonist confides in her friend the following day that the guy she went with is her student the friend expresses shock and when he protagonist says well you told me to go with him, the friend has the audacity to say well I didn't know he was your student! Some friend! These types of friends should be ditched pronto!

Where do I start?

Overall, that little daughter of hers needs one good ass whipping!!! The disrespect, the combativeness, just overall spoiled brat!! I don't condone teenagers talking back to parents and parents just letting it happen like they're not the ones in control! Overall, the movie is good IMO.

Good movie had the right amount of suspense

I try to catch this movie every time it comes on LMN and lifetime. Lindsay Hartley was really good in this one. The opening sequence was like an ode to slasher movies in my opinion with Maggie tied up and then later running from the East Bay butcher. The dead possum in the car was a good one. The only kick back I had was the girl Sarah whom Richard had an affair with was killed off screen and it kinda went dull for a moment with the strong opening sequence and then a mild off screen kill like that but then after that it wasnt dull cause Kyle tied the detective up and that was a strong comeback from Sarah's death and the chase scene at the end in the college was great, the chase sequence was like an ode to slasher movies in my opinion. I'm a fan of lifetime I watch lifetime a good bit & I must say this was probably the best lifetime movie of 2021.
