The depth of the cast on this show means that over the course of the series everyone gets a chance to shine.
So with that in mind this week there's less of Trixie and more the Turners for example.
10 years in and this show continues to find new topics to cover, always with a nod to issues that are being faced today, and it's always wonderfully played without being preachy.
There are areas of repetition though. The curate amongst the nuns aspect feels like it's been done before, but at least the idea that could 'save' Nonnatus House will hopefully give Jenny Agutter's character something other to do than look pensive, while also providing the show with a built in way of introducing new characters to tide them over.
Good overall.
