- A thriller for twenty-somethings with a twisty, dangerous canyon house at its core. Michael and his roommate Brett enjoy the post-graduate college life when Michael stumbles upon Cerenka, a beautiful, late twenties damsel in distress, during a mid-evening pizza run. Cerenka tells Michael she has been ripped off for $5,000 of deposit money for a charming house in Topanga Canyon, money Cerenka can ill afford to lose as she struggles to pay her way through grad school by singing pop standards at a local hotel. The perpetrator is Annie, a tough acting twenty-five-year-old sometime porn actress who has now disappeared. Naïve, Michael thinks he has a chance with Cerenka, who is way out of his league. He begins pursuit of the mysterious Annie and her thug boyfriend. What he doesn't realize is that Annie is more than she pretends to be. The true tenant, a young girl from Pennsylvania, is now missing. As Michael watches the house, strangers watch Michael. The house is like a haunting, a magnet to Michael offering up strange love letters, fake passports, lies and the smell of death. What Michael also discovers is that there is a man, Henderson, 60ish, a cold professional assassin, who has returned to LA to do one last spectacular hit. Henderson is also here to reclaim his old girlfriend, Annie. Michaels' obsessive pursuit puts his roommate Brett, Cerenka and himself in grave danger. The movie offers fun, humor and excitement as it builds to a frightening final act. Michael drags Cerenka back to the canyon house on a rainy evening to dig up one final secret, when they suddenly stand face-to-face with Henderson, Annie, and a forest full of professional killers. They have nowhere to run.
