I don't blame Enid for her reaction. Funny take on the idea of the internet. Brackenreid's gold cure mess.

Warning: Spoilers
I have to say I don't blame Enid for her reaction as Murdoch uses her life details to set a trap for the killer. Murdoch, I'm sorry to say, was kind of a jerk to do this, imo.

It's funny how this is what starts to break this new "romance" with Enid. Enid is in fact, right, but it rubs him the wrong way as he begins to see they have very different priorities in life. I didn't think it was right for him to ask his new gf to participate in catching the killer in the first place. That's a Dr. Ogden thing. He could have and should have asked a different telegrapher to help. But he was really excited to work with her. Again, he's confusing the nature of their relationship with that of his relationship with Julia. I'm glad his relationship with Enid is winding down. We all want to see William and Julia together, full-stop. Enid was a good person, a fierce mother, and forward in technology. But was annoying in her pursuit of Murdoch, and had a dull personality. Murdoch thought he wanted something more conventional. But in his unconventional life, he also preferred that in a life partner as well.

The murder itself was fun and interesting to watch. They are winking at the audience as they discuss how telegraphy is used in a web to communicate with others in social activities. Ahem, the world wide web via the internet. Brilliantly done.

Brackenreid is going through his own dilemma as Margaret insists he quit drinking, So he tries the so-called gold cure. I looked this up and it was really a thing. Kudos to the writers and the research that goes into it as they look back in time to find things to incorporate into the show. Our brash, cranky, but charming fella is having a hard time and the gold cure is actually making things worse affecting his behavior. So much so that he almost comes to blows with Crabtree. At least Margaret agrees to quit the Temperance League in the end. Sometimes she seems like such a twit, but then wiser views prevail, as she suggests moderation in drinking to Thomas.

I had to laugh when Murdoch ended up being the one to give Brackenreid his gold cure. The look and body language of Murdoch, lol. 9/10.
