Talk about a scene stealer - she was the SERIES STEALER. How did the producers not recognize this and giver her least as much screen time as the haunted table lamp!?

Perfect Set-Up for a New Season

Warning: Spoilers
Miranda and Che are leaving for LA. As far as I am concerned, they can permanently remain there. I would like to see Seema as a full-time cast member.
Carrie is starting a new chapter with her own podcast and, possibly, a new man.
Charlotte is learning to make adjustments in her life.
And, maybe, Samantha will come back.
I see glimmers of hope.

Aidan and Carrie back together.

Thank for a great show Michael & co! I believe there are few other like me who wish Aidan back together with Carrie. It would then be a 10 rated show. Carrie could i.e meet him abroad, Aidan doing business and Carrie with the girls on a vacation. There their true love would instantly continue after Dubai. Aidan would also be single and they could later on the show get married and have a beautiful wedding in a church. Best wishes, Christina, Finland.
And just like that we got a perfect ending for season 1

Warning: Spoilers
For the love of all that is good in this world, please no second season of this utter trash.
The most exciting part of this episode was Carrie's light turning off and on by itself.
Every time I thought it was just getting good, yet another absurd letdown. None of it makes sense. They throw in random scenes about these secondary characters that focus too much on the secondary characters instead of propelling the main characters forward.
I don't think I am alone when I say that I don't care about the kids, at all. Unless it is supposed to be one big joke about Gen Z, they couldn't have made these kids more unlikable. Charlotte making the THEY mitzvah about her after her kid wouldn't participate despite all the money spent on rainbow decor and hiring a trans rabbi? Give me a break. I can't believe this even made it to television. Or can I?
And as far as Miranda goes, throw the whole character away. Off the bridge with Big's ashes you go, Miranda. Between the cringeworthy scenes with the worst character of this whole mess, Che, to how condescending she was of Carrie when she was talking about the afterlife (oh, Miranda doesn't believe in it, so it must not be real, everybody), and how defensive she was when Carrie called her on her BS about running off to LA to fangirl in a studio audience for a few months, get her off the screen. This isn't entertainment.
You know, I gave it a shot, stuck with it through the end, to really make sure I wasn't missing anything. But I found out that I really am not missing anything. Not a single thing. Out of all the unnecessary reboots I have seen over the years, this is probably the worst. I read an article a few weeks ago saying that they will probably make a second season just to spite all the critics. That sounds about right. Willfully ignorant to how much they screwed this up and can't accept the fact that this whole thing is an embarrassment. Kim Cattrall, you made the right decision.

I don't know.. I liked Carrie's ending. The dream she had where she heard Bigs voice got me teary eyed. I was a bit bummed when Carrie and Peter called it quits, but when I saw the chemistry Carrie had with the podcast producer at that party I was like ok fine. Charlottes ending was ok.. not much else to say about it. Miranda's ending was just cringe-worthy.. Che kind of destroyed this whole reboot imo. If there's gonna be a season 2, please do it without Che!
How's tomorrow night? FABULOUS!

We need SJ back in the next season! Only four women reunion together - no more trashy characters as Che, Peter, Zed all of them!! Samantha please please please!! Carrie looks so tired and sad in this season, can she looks more funnier?
IT WASN'T A SURPRISE

IT WAS FABULOUSLY WHAT EVERYONE THOUGHT THAT A SEX AND THE CITY REMIX SHOULD BE. THIS WAS NOT AN ENTIRELY SMOOTH RIDE, BUT I'M SATISFIED WITH THE OVERALL PRODUCT!!! BRAVO! BAR MITVAH!! YOU HAVE COME OF AGE AND MADE YOUR OWN VOICE AND STORIES STAND OUT IN A CROWDED, SECULAR, SEXFUL CITY.
Who the hell is watching and critiquing this series?
swmyers12 February 2022
I don't know who is watching this series and giving it such poor marks. I was not a fan of the original Sex and the City. I did, however, enjoy the first movie very much. Not so much the second movie. However, the continuing story of these characters in the series has been nothing short of amazing. The character arcs are interesting and moving. I am overwhelmed with what a great actress Sarah Jessica Parker is. She is nothing short of phenomenal in the series. I am desperate that this season ended at 10 episodes. I need at least 20 more. I never thought I would enjoy this as much as I do. But, it is, far and away, the best series on TV.
Tried too hard... And failed.
Shiryu0512 February 2022
The cringe in this series almost had me permanently afflicted! Granted the old series had some "WTF" moments and the movies were awful (yes, there is no polite way of getting around that), but I expected to feel curiosity at the very least.
What I found was an attempt to bring Carrie and the girls into the 21st century (proper) which failed on every account. Whether we're looking at Miranda's attempts to be "true" to her real self or Charlotte trying to micromanage every second of her family's life, we see real-life issues being dragged (kicking and screaming) into a 30-minute show that, for all intents and purposes, just seems a way for SJP and crew to continue earning nosh ($$$). There was no good reason to create 2 terrible movies and an even worse show after the original series ended (s6 was something of a disaster...). Why do this SJP? Why create something so bad, one cannot even classify it as mediocre?

Wow everybody hates Che - I don't "LOVE" her but I find her very interesting. I'm a straight female btw. Her lounge singing act was hilarious and she really had Miranda jumping when she yelled. She was a good podcast leader. Miranda always seems so confused and needy. The fashions are great - except that scene in Paris - Carrie looked like a pumpkin doing the dishes with her pink gloves - hated it. And the ashes didn't go in the water - they all flew on the metal parts. But everything else the cast wore was fabulous. I love the diversity of this new series - something the original was sorely lacking. The downstairs neighbor is there to show just how cool Carrie still is. I liked her but glad she threw her cheating bf out. I could have done without seeing Evan Handlers junk though - yuk! However, the kids are horrible - either get them out or have them behave better - the disrespect from these entitled brats is the worst I've ever seen. Lilly is somewhat cool, although demanding and simple, but the other two - good grief - they obviously have never been disciplined. Do you have them behave this way just to have someone(s) to hate? That's the part that threw me - these are decent, professional people with good upbringing and their kids obviously have never been taught how to act toward anyone - selfish and bratty - I can't stand Rock or Brady - they both disgust me.
Roc is such a whiney kid
chunkylefunga13 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This whole episode is just nonsense.
Roc spend the whole episode being a whiney brat.
Fine I get that they're trying to add trans issues to the show, but there's no need to make Roc such a bad kid. There's no way Charlotte would host the event if her kid didn't want it and Rose/Roc would definitely have been studying properly for months. Not just announce on the day that they're a brat and want to show up the family.
Miranda being gay storyline is just nonsense and her moving away is completely out of character.
Carrie going to Paris was about the only real moment of the episode.

Fitting finale
nmottel3 February 2022
The writers did their best to parallel the finale of the original Sex and the City. Each character had their own conclusion to a personal crisis including our physically absent Samantha. But once again we were also hit in the face with woke story lines that for this former SATC fan only detracted from the show. I'd advise against a second season.
Well....
OGmacadamia394 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Of course, I grew up with the SATC crew throughout my college years. They never felt super close to me, but I loved the silliness and the fashion. Of course the ultimate love story of Carrie + Big.
Both of the movies were pretty terrible, but I will admit that the first is better than the second and I'm grateful that they stopped the franchise there.
As for AJLT, it's agenda is progressively post Covid New York woke democrat. Every hot topic was hit upon. Race, gender, death, pronouns. It's interesting because the old show would not hold up as easily in these times, but not much does.
The plastic surgery on all of them is a bit hard to watch in this new show - as is getting them into my "they're now 55". They are doing pretty well with it though.
The Miranda / Che relationship is absolutely over the top. I could have done without her entire presence but everyone's a critic.
The oddity for me is I'm now the age they were in the OG. Maybe my review will be different in 15 years.

A reasonably good show, stuck in a boring "woke movement" class.
eldanjuanvicente4 February 2022
If you ignore all the "woke" narratives, it's possible to enjoy a decent sequel to "sex and the city". The characters remain true to the originals and really seem to belong to the "same universe". Unfortunately, ideological agendas take up too much screen time and are not only boring, but embarrassing. The show's idea of "inclusion" is pathetic, and is just a sideshow with no much connection to the main characters. Let's hope Season 2 gives us more "entertainment" instead of "boring lessons on how to no get cancelled."
Trans rabbi? Seriously?
gii-star30 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Trans rabbi, transgender, nongender, nonbinary, asexual, handicapped people, black, indian.. this is a big mish mash. Hated it. Stupid and forced. I will watch the old series and enjoy. This is a garbage. I hope there will not be another season and producers will retire.
Umm no ma'am
rubenspauls4 February 2022
I was told to try this episode by someone still watching the show.
mshavzin29 March 2022
Nope still awful. Totally predictable. I have to say, the trans rabbi was a bit too obviously not female, and annoying me by being in too many scenes for no good reason. All I kept thinking was that if God doesn't strike down Hollywood, he seriously needs to apologize to Sodom and Gommorah. In general, nothing new in this episode. Still boring. Fashions are slipping too.
