- Scenes of shirtless males, and scantily clad females at a beach. In a brief night scene, Phil is wearing boxers and a t-shirt, but you can barely see him from the waist down.
Violence & Gore

- Some chase scenes and slapstick comedy. Quite graphic for a G rated film.
Profanity

- Two misuses of God's name. Mild profanities including, "heck", and "suck". Unfinished phrases that typically end in profanities, such as "What the...". And a modified phrase in the form of, "Payback is a bee".
- Two mild references, "licking butt", and a "steaming pile".
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- At a party, toilet drinking is used as a canine substitute for alcoholic consumption.
- A strong graphic reference to "shrooms", being used by dogs, and the after-effects.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Several dog chase scenes. Some of the nighttime scenes are pretty intense, for young children.
- Bosco wants to fight many times in the movie because Marmaduke is flirting with his girlfriend.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The "Chupadogra" may appear frightening to small children. There is a scene where the "Chupadogra" allows himself to be captured by the dogcatcher, over Marmaduke. The scene is also somewhat frightening to younger audiences.
- Near the end of the film there are a few car crashes, a sinkhole opens, and there are a couple life or death situations. Everyone makes it out okay, however.
