- Sam finds himself in a predicament; Sookie uses her telepathic powers to reach out to Bill; Lorena exercises her hold over Bill as his maker; Jason looks to sever his ties with the church.
- Still being held in the basement at the Church, it becomes obvious to Sookie that Steve knew they were coming, but is not sure why. That tells her there is a spy among them. She tries to get a message to Bill, but he is being held prisoner by his maker, who refuses to let him go after the woman he loves. In flashbacks, Bill's conversion to a less violent lifestyle is revealed. When Steve learns Sookie's true identity, he makes the connection with Jason and assumes he's a spy. As they begin to wreak their vengeance, Sookie is saved by someone she has yet to meet. Back at the hotel Jessica and Hoyt decide to sleep together. In Bon Temps, Sam manages to escape, courtesy of a drunken Andy Bellefleur. Any plans he may have had for getting even with Daphne are overtaken by Maryann who has her own plans for her acolyte. The rest of the revelers have no memory of what happened the night before.—garykmcd
- Andy arrives in Maryann's orgy, shoots and saves Sam from the sacrifice. Sookie and Hugo are arrested in the basement of the Church, and Sookie discovers that her companion is the traitor that has informed the Fellowship of the Sun about her arrival. Lorena does not allow Bill to leave the room to save Sookie, and recalls their past together in Los Angeles in 1935. When Steve discovers the true identity of Sookie, he believes that Jason is a traitor and asks Gabe to kill him; however, Jason reacts and escapes. Sarah finds Jason and shoots him on the chest. Meanwhile Jessica and Hoyt are in deep love for each other and sleep together in the Hotel Carmilla. Sam meets Daphne and she discloses that she had fun with him; further she tells that Maryann uses her energy to control humans, but shape shifters should go to her on their free will. She says that Maryann is a pagan Goddess, called Kali, Lilith, Isis, Gaia but she is a Maenad, the female follower of Dionysus. Gabe comes to Sookie's cell to rape her, but Godric saves her.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Betrayed by Daphne, Sam finds himself in an unenviable predicament at the hands of Maryann and her zombie minions. Meanwhile, imprisoned with Hugo at the Light of Day camp, Sookie uses her telepathic powers to reach out to Bill, who's being detained at the hotel by a stubbornly obsessive Lorena. Elsewhere, after crossing a church line, a fearful Jason tries to sever his ties with the Fellowship of the Sun.—snowflakeaudrey
- We begin back at Maryann's orgy/Sam-killing party. Just prior to Sam being sacrificed, Andy stumbles upon the scene. A shot is heard, giving Sam enough time to break free. The bull-headed Maryann chases Sam into the woods but loses him when he turns into an owl and flies off. Andy points his gun at the nude partygoers. Terry, his eyes jet-black from the Maryann trance, twists Andy's arm and knocks him to the ground.
In the Fellowship of the Sun basement Hugo is beginning to panic. He is claustrophobic and "needs" to get out of the tight space. Hugo and Sookie wonder who the traitor was that tipped off the church to their arrival
Lorena still won't let Bill leave the hotel room to help Sookie. As his maker she is too strong for Bill. She references his weakness for humans which leads to a flashback:
Los Angeles, 1935: Leona brings home a chorus line dancer for Bill. He is upset at having to kill innocent people and lets the woman go. Bill thinks she has stolen his humanity.
Lorena realizes Bill is legitimately in love with Sookie. She finds it "tragic."
Eric and Isabel observe the guards outside the church compound. Eric is unimpressed. They don't want to move in until they are certain Godric is being held inside. Isabel tells Eric she is curious about Hugo eventually growing old, much "like a science project." Eric tells her he is not interested in Sookie or Bill, just getting to Godric. Eric doesn't think mere mortals could have taken Godric into custody.
Following the sex with Jason, Sarah cries with joy. She now knows what love is and feels closer than ever to God, which seems to freak him out a little. She wants them to come clean and tell Steve, but Jason convinces her they should wait until after the lock-in.
Hoyt confesses to Jessica that he is a 28-year old virgin. She is also a virgin and the two plan to have sex the following night after Jessica rests.
Eric slams Stan up against a wall, suggesting that maybe he killed Godric in an attempt to seize power. A tear of blood falls down Eric's face when he suggests the possibility of Godric being dead.
Tara and Eggs wake up on the couch. They have no idea how they got there and guess that the joint they smoked caused them to black-out.
Sam comes to the bar and gets a gun out of the office.
Steve and Gabe come to the basement and tell Sookie and Hugo they are hoping a vampire comes to their rescue. Steve wants some answers and Hugo offers up that Sookie's last name is Stackhouse. Steve realizes she is Jason's sister and quickly leaves. Sookie sends a telepathic message to Barry (the hotel guy), asking him to tell Bill where she is and that she is in trouble.
With the sun having come up Bill and Lorena are beginning to get weak. She admits that Eric is the reason she is there and tells Bill that Eric "wants the girl."
Steve and Gabe grab Jason, putting a knife to his throat. At first Jason thinks Steve has found out about Sarah, but it soon becomes clear that Steve thinks Jason is a mole for the vampires, and the Fellowship of the Sun has captured Sookie.
Andy tells Bud what he saw at the bonfire.
Maryann returns home with a dead rabbit. She tells Tara and Eggs she slept outside and "communed with my animal nature." Still not remembering having participated in the ritual Tara tells Eggs she thinks Maryann is weird.
With Gabe holding a knife to Jason's throat, Steve confronts Jason about being a spy for the vampires. Jason denies the charge but Steve still orders Gabe to kill Jason.
Sam finds Daphne sitting on the dock and points a gun at her. He asks her about Maryann. Daphne tells him that Maryann "saved me, gave me a whole new life." Maryann wants to kill Sam, she says, because he got away from her once. Unlike humans, shape-shifters can't be manipulated by Maryann's vibrations.
When Sookie grabs Hugo's arm she "sees" that he is the one who has been spying on the vampires and reporting back to the Fellowship of the Sun.
Daphne tells Sam that Maryann is a Maenad, which according to Greek mythology means she was a follower of Dionysus. Daphne tells him Maryann is a God - she "never wasn't here" - but Sam doesn't want to just let her kill him. Even if he did offer himself up to Maryann, Daphne says, it wouldn't guarantee Maryann would leave the rest of the town alone.
Hugo is upset Isabel wouldn't turn him so they could be equals. He thinks vampires only care about themselves, which is why he turned to the church. Sookie tells Hugo he is being manipulated by the church.
Sarah welcomes people to the lock-in. Steve tells her they need to have a private talk about Jason.
Gabe leads Jason into the woods, presumably to kill him. But Gabe makes the mistake of insulting Sookie (never insult a Southern man's sister or mother, folks), enraging Jason. Sookie's brother overpowers the muscular drill instructor. Jason gets free, takes Gabe's knife and starts the long jog back to the compound.
Lafayette has begun selling V. Arlene comes in for work and tells Tara she blacked out the night before and thinks she might have taken advantage of Terry. Arlene doesn't remember anything but thinks they had sex. A drunken Andy stumbles in looking for Terry. He lobs insults at everybody in the place, calling them "devil worshipers" and "devil zombies." He promises to stop them.
When Jessica wakes up that night she finds Hoyt has covered the room with rose petals and candles. They start fooling around.
Sarah catches up with Jason in a golf cart. He starts to explain that Steve and Gabe have "gone crazy" but she raises a huge gun of some sort and pulls the trigger. Jason clutches his chest and falls backwards.
Maryann walks up to Daphne on the dock. She tells Daphne "thank you for your service" and a black-eyed Eggs pops out from behind and stabs Daphne with the huge ritual knife.
Gabe goes to the basement and begins beating the crap out of Hugo. Gabe then turns to strangling Sookie. Bill senses Sookie is in danger and tries to leave the room again. Lorena stops him and Bill flashes back to the 30s again:
Bill tells Lorena he doesn't love her and she is a lonely creature. Only after threatening to drive a stake into his own heart does Lorena "release" him.
Back in Dallas, Lorena holds a stake against Bill's heart and tells him he is a making a fool of himself with Sookie. As she prepares to kill Bill, Barry knocks on the door and passes along word that Sookie is at the church and that Godric is also being held there. Eric hears this and zips out of his room. Barry is plucked into Bill's room.
Gabe is on top of Sookie. He pulls up her dress and appears ready to rape her. Just then he is snatched away and held in the air by a young vampire. Sookie looks confused: "Godric?"
