Nice Knowing You, Megalyn!

Warning: Spoilers
A punk - one of "Ron Saris's" friends - gets pushed into a swimming pool by Saris and quickly is dissolved. No, it's not a pool full of acid but with the same effect. It's sodium hydroxide which, when combined with water, is lethal. Saris says the tainted pool must have been meant for him, as he owns the house. Still, the crook-turned-informer, is not exactly someone anyone trusts.

So who did this and why? Saris thinks it could be Horatio's ex-wife, "Julia Winston,"" who is pretty unstable, to say the least. He might be right. Then again, most of these episodes give you the obvious and then take it away.

Without giving anything away, I did find Horatio playing favorites with "Julia" as very unprofessional. Would he go to these lengths for anyone else (besides his other family members)? I doubt it.

In a sidebar, the CSI show loses one of its members. Well, "Dr. Tara Price," the new medical examiner this season, is toast. She was finally caught with a bunch of prescription drugs she had taken off dead people's belongings before doing autopsies. Too bad because I liked Megalyn Echikunwoke as "Dr. Price" and found her not just to be a pretty face but a likable character in a low-key way. I wonder if she wanted out of the show, or they didn't want her anymore. I don't know, but I'll miss seeing her.

Hypocrisy

I liked the episode. I was tired of Julia's character. That was becoming played out. So I am gladshe is gone. But what ticked me off is how they treated Dr. Price. Not justifying what she did. Stealing the drugs was wrong. However in a previous episode Wolfe tampered with evidence, framed an innocent man, lied to his team, etc...and nothing happened to him. It was like it never happened. He should have been fired. I know he was trying to save the little boy but he violated dept policies and ethics. He has screwed up so much and he keeps getting second chances. The same should have done with Dr. Price.
