A powerful storyline with a great cast with acerbic humour and strong drama.
An emotional conclusion to the instalment.

Warning: Spoilers
Before this story was broadcast by ITV. Controversy was raised in the newspapers, particularly by one tabloid newspaper.
The reasoning was that the main character is inspired to go on a killing spree because of the 1989 Hillsborough disaster.
This is the same newspaper that blamed Liverpool fans for the disaster. Despite being eventually vindicated over 30 years after the event. The editor of that newspaper refuses to give a genuine apology.
After slaying the psychologist. Albie targets freelance journalist Clare Moody. She works freelance for the Sun newspaper and Albie wants her over the newspapers coverage of Hillsborough. However she manages to escape from Albie's clutches.
Meanwhile DCI Bilborough has to admit that he has been barking up the wrong tree when it comes to pursuing the culprit. Fitz is back in the fold.
DS Beck comes face to face with Albie but basically he is too dozy to spot the pictures of the victims on the walls. He falls for the lies sprouted by Albie.
Later Beck shouts at Penhaligon for trying to tell him do to do his own job.
It's a mistake with devastating consequences. Bilborough is the next target for Albie.
The story has a shocking ending and also sowing the seeds for Beck's eventual destruction.
The Hillsborough connection would had been shocking at the time. It was only decades later when the extent of actual police incompetence came to light to the general public. The police deliberately spread lies and shifted the blame on Liverpool supporters.
