Linkin Park shared a rare early demo, “She Couldn’t,” one of several previously unreleased tracks set to appear on the 20th-anniversary edition of the band’s debut album, Hybrid Theory, out October 9th via Warner Records.
Bootleg versions of “She Couldn’t” have been floating around fan circles for some time, although this marks the first official release of the track. The song settles and stays in a distinctly mellow groove, with a simple guitar loop twisting around trip-hop drums, with synths and record-scratching adding texture. The chorus features...

Thus far we've found footage from haunted asylums, haunted forests, haunted houses, and wrecked cities but never really anything from a party gone horribly awry. That's about to change with Face: A Frat Party Massacre.
The film, co-directed by Norith Soth and Taka Arai, stars Sienna Beckman, Scott Alin, Brooke Diane Flint, Carolyn Matini, Lauren See, Roby Sobieski, Jessica Ann Kelley, Max Aria, Ashley Ann Alvarado, Taylor Judkin, and Lex Woofer and is executive produced by Brad Miska of Bloody Disgusting.
Face: A Frat Party Massacre is slated for a DVD release on August 19th with a VOD date to be announced. The film world premiered at the Another Hole in the Head Film Festival last December.
Synopsis
An annual Halloween fear competition between a fraternity and sorority goes awry when drugs, alcohol, and the old battle of the sexes are mixed together. Who will win this year?...

SXSW kicks off the film festival portion of the event Friday night with Chef, a film from Iron Man director and actor Jon Favreau. Favreau directs and stars in this film about a chef who quits his job at a restaurant and ends up opening a food truck. The film co-stars Dustin Hoffman, Sofia Vergara and John Leguizamo. Favreau will also participate in a conversation on the film and his career on Sunday, March 9.
Other Friday premieres include Kelly & Cat, a new comedy-drama staring Juliette Lewis and Jason Bateman’s Bad Words.
Veronica Mars, arguably one of the most anticipated films premiering at SXSW, will hold its big world premiere Saturday, March 8. The fan-funded, Kickstarter flick is sure to make headlines among festival goers and Marshmallows (fans of the show).

Vgx was the new name of the Video Game Awards that Spike normally hosts annually to celebrate gaming. Spike, while a often dumbed down network, is one of the few networks to still host some video game coverage. However in terms of celebrating it every year, it’s often treated as something akin to a Frat party, despite offering some genuine thrills for gamers. Vgx is without a doubt the worst attempt so far and it could possibly hurt gaming on TV in the future.
Gaming is extremely popular on the internet. Gamers on Youtube have some of the highest subscriber and view counts than any other channels on the website. The advent of Twitch and the next-gen ability to Stream everything, these channels take in enough money to make full time paying jobs out of gaming. So Spike/Viacom wasn’t entirely in the wrong to target that audience.

By this point, everybody and their former lingerie model mother knows that Sofia Coppola's "The Bling Ring" is based on a true story. What they may not know, however, is that the truer true story, told in journalist Nancy Jo Sales' reportorial book "The Bling Ring" (expanded from her original Vanity Fair article "The Suspects Wore Louboutins") is even wilder than the drug-fueled, celebrity-obsessed months depicted in Coppola's film.
You know how they say you can't make this s**t up? Yeah, that. Like alleged Bling Ring leading lady Rachel Lee leaving a stinky something in Rachel Bilson's house, or the self-obsessed monologues alleged accomplice-turned-reality TV star Alexis Neiers (oh yeah: She got a reality TV show, not that you'll see that hubbub on the big screen) delivered: All real.
Ahead, 16 crazy but realer-than-botox things you may not have known about the real story behind "The Bling Ring.

A review of last night's "The Mindy Project" coming up just as soon as I live in a furnished apartment right across the street from the Holocaust Museum... "Frat Party" returned to a creatively fruitful area for the show: Mindy interacting with younger people. "Teen Patient" was one of the show's best early episodes, and the dynamic worked nearly as well when we moved from high school to college. (There was even a nod to the earlier episode's running gag about Slime by having Katie explain that one of the hot new campus drugs is called Mucus.) The episode was also...

This week on The Mindy Project Danny is in the office asking their new nurse, Tamara to run some tests for him. She calls Danny, “Girl” something he has asked her repeatedly not to do. She can’t help it, he reminds her exactly of her cousin Sheena. Danny does not seem amused and neither is [...]

Mindy's relationship with Casey hasn't been the fairytale romance she probably envisioned, but at the start of this week's episode the two shared a shower together in what was one of the funnier scenes of the season.
Hook ups in the shower don't always go like you see in the movies, with the steam rising to the ceiling and hands braced against the glass. In a way the awkward encounter in Mindy's shower/tub combo was much like her and Casey's relationship. Both hot and cold at times, a bit messy, but cute in the end. When Casey broke the news about going to Haiti for a year, Mindy's boyfriend bliss went down the drain.
"Frat Party" also appropriately featured numerous scenes with the guys, as Jeremy and Danny tried to get Morgan to come back to the practice.
Danny - usually the assertive one - took a back seat to Jeremy,...

Fans of The Mindy Project know that despite Mindy’s best efforts, her life is far from a perfect romantic comedy. So it’s no surprise that a moment that should be steamy — in this case, a shower with new boyfriend Pastor Casey (Workaholics’ Anders Holm) — takes a turn for the awkward and clumsy. Sandra Bullock would never have to deal with freezing temperatures, water-spouting boyfriends, or bath products that may be trying to kill her.

We're getting closer to meeting "The Five" on this week's episode of "The Vampire Diaries," and on tap now is another clip from the ep, entitled "Not Fighting." Right, as if those Salvatore brothers ever do anything else!
"The Vampire Diaries" Episode 4.04, "The Five" (11/1/12 airdate)
A Frat Party And A Flashback To 12th Century Italy — Damon (Ian Somerhalder) goes with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) to visit Whitmore College, where Professor Shane (guest star David Alpay, “The Borgias”) is taking over the Occult Studies classes formerly taught by Bonnie’s grandmother. At a fraternity costume party, Damon takes advantage of the wild scene to give Elena a lesson in choosing a victim.
Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) attempt to buy Matt’s (Zach Roerig) forgiveness falls flat, but she is intrigued by unexpected news from Klaus (Joseph Morgan). When Stefan (Paul Wesley) questions Klaus about Connor’s (guest star Todd Williams) motives,...

Instead of the gallery's worth of images they usually send our way for "The Vampire Diaries" each week, The CW has only released four photos from the upcoming Episode 4.04, "The Five." But since they contain our first good look at new character Professor Shane, we won't complain too much.

How seriously do you think I take Halloween? Well, I’m fairly frickin’ anal retentive anyway, so I need to book my viewing in advance. I mean I’ll deviate from my itinerary, but I at least need a plan. I can’t be the only one out there with a stick up his ass. So this October/Halloween Season I figured we needed a little guidance. There’s too many damn channels on the cable box, no horror hosts and shit for advertising. So let me be your TV Guide… Keeper.
We won’t touch on everything and I’m sure new programming will come up as October gets itself moving. I’ll throw an update out there from time to time if a special is airing or a new programming line up is discovered, uncovered, revealed or undead. Yes, this is for cable or dish. Network TV will...

Cliché: a phrase, expression, or idea that has been overused to the point of losing its intended force or novelty, especially when at some time it was considered distinctively forceful or novel.
With Hollywood producing so many movies ever year, it is no surprise that they are often full of clichés. Jeff Smith created this montage under the Bottoms Up Productions label for acclaimed movie blog FilmDrunk.com, showing clips of some of the biggest movie clichés from a total of 102 films. The list of films are below the video. Enjoy!

Before there was snark and irony littered on a million blogs all over the World Wide Web –- in fact, before there was a World Wide Web — there was Spy magazine. Published from 1986 to 1998, Spy was a phenomenon among the media and political cognoscenti. Since, only those who keep dusty old magazines in attics have enjoyed its archives. But on Wednesday, Spy co-founding editor Kurt Andersen tweeted, “Google’s digitized every issue of Spy magazine. Half up now, the rest soon.
