The most amazing bit of trivia about Mick Foley is that with all the physical abuse his body took over his career as both an amateur and professional wrestler he never drank or used recreational drugs to dull his pain. This athlete was never taken seriously by the top wrestling promoters, but with his ingenuity, hard work and persistence, and natural lovability the top promoters just couldn't ignore that he was becoming a fan favorite.
One of the well known stories about Mick Foley was early in his professional wrestling career after a match in which he played the villain he went out to the parking lot only to discover that one of his new found admirers slashed all four of his car tires after which the promoter stated "they really hate you Jake and that's a sign you made it."
