"Well, mommy is full of SH**!"
asifakberali22 October 2021
Haha. I love how Chucky introduced his gender-fluid kid; Glen(da) to Jake. And, said that he's not a monster when asked if he was okay with that. Just after brutally killing the maid. LMAO :D That's the Chucky we knew, and he's BACK!

Another great and kept-me-glued-in-the-bed episode. I am glad they are dropping these free on YouTube for us Canadians, lol.

It's Halloween in Hackensack, and Chucky is in full mode to slash a few victims. He even persuades Jake to kill with him. "It's kill or be killed kind of world" as Chucky quotes. Though, Jake has gone through a lot, and bullying is not stopped even after his dad is gone--I presume he will do something evil. Like Chucky says, "anyone's killer if you push them enough to do it". If it does, I hope it is Lexy... cuz that girl is beyond 'Mean Girls'. Who the heck impersonates/mimics a dead-person(Jake's father)? Sick.

I am very much hooked to the series. Every episode turns out to be what the producer and director advertised through Chucky TV Series promo clips.

Mommy says typing long review is bad.

Me: Well, mommy is full of sh**!

Mommy says swearing is bad too.

"Well, mommy is working on her way up on my list pretty f quick!" - Chucky.

CHEER! - (7 stars out of 10)
BJG-Reviews6 December 2021
The stage curtains open ...

Okay, I'm starting to dig this a bit more. It was definitely better than the first episode, and the storyline is starting to set in and develop now. As I mentioned in my review for the first episode, the production values are high and it shows. They spent some time on this and didn't just throw something out there because it could be done. They have a story to tell, and I'm starting to become invested.

After the death of his father, Jake has been taken into the home of his Uncle and their family, including Junior, the cousin who doesn't think too much of him. He has brought Chucky along with him, and after the events of the talent show, Chucky is a hit among his classmates as well. But, after the untimely death of the housekeeper, Jake is on the radar of the investigating officers, who also happens to be the mother of the boy he's crushing on. Jake knows full well what Chucky is capable of now, and believes that he is fully responsible for both the death of his father and the housekeeper. After witnessing a terrible display at a Halloween costume party by Junior's girlfriend, Lexy - mocking his father's death in full costume, he feels his own ire begin to rise with Chucky urging him to pick up the knife and join the Super Bowl of slaughter.

This was a much more fun and engaging episode, and I like the direction we are going with several of the characters. One character in particular that I will be keeping an eye on is Caroline, Lexy's little sister, who has a fixation on Chucky, and a gifted artist. Lexy is just plain ol' scum, and Junior seems to be a bit torn in his affections. My favorite scene in this episode was with Chucky wearing a Hello Kitty mask and trick 'r treating.

I would recommend this episode, hands down. The series is starting to get traction and gain momentum now. All the characters are well fleshed out, the plot is beginning to thicken, and the acting is solid. So far so good! This one gets a solid 7 stars out of 10. Episode 3, here I come!

Chucky as hello kitty , adorable!
georgestreet-3761316 November 2021
I gotta say that seeing chucky as hello kitty made me laugh a lot. He looked quite adorable , but also dangerous and ready to make you fall into the trap. I gotta say that this series is awesome and lived up to my expectations. I wish his last films had been like this series. Full of suspense and laughs.

Warning: Spoilers
And I'm not talking about chucky.. Lexy must die! She is pure evil. I haven't felt this bad for a character in a series in a long time (Jake.) Kudos to Don mancini for making such a fantastic series, and we're only two episodes in!

Another Great Episode
yusufpiskin21 October 2021
These young-adult actors are really talented.

Having such actors is a good development for Cinema.

Bjorgvin and Teo perfectly accompany Zachary with their acting skills.

The names of these four children will be mentioned a lot in the future.

Someday in the future... Emmy's or Oscar's... Who knows.

With The Acting
darenprice5921 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The acting in this episode is terrible. I love chucky and the story so far but the main human characters are so bad with their acting, no emotional and slow delivery. I have seen some bad acting in Chucky movies. But this may be the worst.

Surprisingly better that the pilot ep
joshuaramses-8744721 October 2021
The pilot ep was good, I like it a lot, however the Halloween ep was amazing, got comedy and killing and that what chucky is about. Really excited for next week ep.

Btw: I really like the main character Jake as well, he is doing a pretty good job.

Have you not seen the movies?

Warning: Spoilers
These reviews have to be paid reviews right? This is not Chucky. His dialogue fits him, but the show misses so much. The acting is bad and I think the poorly written script is to blame for that. The dialogue is so bad. Chucky is the only dialogue I believe because he's always been a smart ass. The characters are also insanely overwritten. Chucky would have slaughtered the whole party if this was before the woke era. I've been there with Mancini through all the up and downs in his series, but this show is just terrible so far. Chucky's dialogue is literally the only thing saving this show. He's not even getting any good kills in. Puking and a little shove into the dishwasher? Really? I'm hoping the rest of the season picks up fast.

This show is a Killer
mopandgo27 October 2021
This show is amazing. It's a step up from the last couple of moves recently. The kids are great actors. Although I wish they wouldn't bring up to much of the past movies or reference them.

Give Me Something Good to Eat
Prismark1029 January 2023
Jake has now moved with his aunt and uncle after his father's death. The police might be a tad suspicious as to the manner of his father's death.

Luckily for Chucky, it is Halloween. The episode opens with a flashback from Charles Lee Ray's childhood. He inserts a razor blade into an apple. In the present day he will give a similar apple as a treat.

What Chucky wants to be is more than just Jake's best and only friend. With Lexy mocking Jake's dad at the Halloween party.

He is hoping to turn Jake into a killer. Will Jake follow suit?

It could had been a more murderous episode if Chucky could aimed better with his knife. There was a nice twisted scene as he plays a video game with Lexy's sister.

The second episode hints less at a coming of age story, more of Jake following in his evil doll's footsteps.

Hello Kitty Chucky😍
agentsofsword29 October 2021
Chucky is adorable you can't lie except for the murder part. I hate that he kills or hurt innocent people that don't deserve it but its a great episode. The bed scene I was really thrilled I thought he's gonna kill both of them.

Bloody Great!!!
cosmicawareness20 October 2021
The second episode does a spectacular job building on the chilling, effective foundation that sliced and diced the first installment. Seeing an improvement over the pilot definitely hints at a brighter and hopefully gorier future. Chucky continues to deliver the goods - I cannot wait to see Tiffany, Nica, Andy, and Christine. Also, I loved the creative kills and the sympathy given to the gay main character. However, I did think the series would have benefited from elaborating more on Chucky's queer kid, not to mention a more incisive commentary on the history of LGBTQ oppression and emancipation alike. Seeing Jake and Glen/Glenda join forces would be KILLER. Above all, I commend Don Mancini for his excellent, pertinent, and most importantly, grotesquely tasteful work. What a tricky treat?

Chucky!
wetmars23 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This has full potential, and it already is one of the best horror TV shows that I have seen. For example, Ash vs. Evil Dead. Jake Wheeler is a 14-year-old who is gay (( Now, there is nothing wrong with that. )) who has a crush on his best friend Devon who makes his podcasts about true crime. I have to say I feel bad for Wheeler. He is always bullied by others. For Chucky, legitimately the best thing about this show. Welcome back, Brad Dourif! I never get tired from hearing your voice throughout the years. He is based for standing up for Wheeler even though, he murders his loved ones.

But what I do love is that he was trying to prevent his cousin and his girlfriend Lexy from trying to have sex by stabbing his knife up the bed. They're like 14! And the fact that Chucky is fully supportive of different sexual orientations, keeping Wheeler's secret at the stage play. That was sweet and made a perfect shiz-show stealing Lexy's phone, and beginning to make fun of her. Plus the fact he mentioned his (( well, we finally got the answer to Glenn. )) child to be genderfluid. Which was my personal favorite scene from this episode. You usually don't see Chucky being all evil. I expect that guy on that phone call in the Pilot Episode is assumed to be Andy. Just maybe. The kills were great. I think my favorite has to be the dishwasher one because it's creative rather than the electrocution one. Chucky is seriously great at manipulating Wheeler, I got to say. I can't wait for the next episode!

Episode 1 - 9/10.

And for this one, a 9/10, but better than the Pilot Episode.

Chucky is an icon
funnycommentor29 July 2022
First of all, that show is more of like a comedy, than a horror TV show. Chucky, he's so funny and there are many funny scenes on that show. So far, it's not very scary. The second kill was cool, so innovative and very gory. The storyline didn't had any development on episode 2. However, the characters had a great development. I have to admit that, the TV show is way different than the movies. Moreover, I really like the idea of the flashbacks, of how Chucky was "created" (it's very interesting). Anyway, it was a nice episode, just like the first one. Can't wait to watch episode 3.

Absolutely Loved it [8.6/10]
panagiotis19937 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Chucky Season 1 Episode 2: Episode 1 was great and I gave it a rating of 8/10. So Jake gets invited to this halloween party, I have a bad feeling about this. Chucky kills the house maid? Damn he is evil. She's been their house maid for years but they know nothing about her? Chucky is gone, I wonder where he is. It is Halloween so it is the perfect time for Chucky to go unnoticed. Chucky is adorable. Wow Lexy thinks its funny to dress as Jake's dead father? So absolutely disturbing, cant wait for Chucky to end her existence. I love how Lexy's sister thinks of Chucky as her friend, its adorable. I really enjoy the conversations between Chucky and Jake. I really want Jake to become a killer. He could be partners in crime with Chucky. Amazing episode overall, my rating is 8.6/10.

This episode is f*cking good!
wendystudios1 June 2022
I really loved this episode and the first time I watched this series I was really surprised at how Chucky came out of those times of failure after failure. Don Mancini is doing a great job with this series! Let the 2nd season come.

And also,I honestly didn't like Lexy that much because of that episode where she turned out to be a big motherf*cker. But the series is still good. My rating is 10/10.
