Moe Dunford, star of Wildcard Distribution’s upcoming release Patrick’S Day, and Maisie Williams, star of Gold which was released in Irish cinemas by Wildcard Distribution in October, have been selected for the European Film Promotion’s (Efp) Shooting Stars showcase at the Berlin International Film Festival 2015 in February. The young actors will join seven more up and coming talents at the 65th Berlinale for a weekend of media interviews, industry events, and meetings with filmmakers. The three days will culminate with the ten winners being presented with their awards during a red carpet ceremony at the Berlinale Palast. Cork-born filmmaker Pat Collins has made a name for himself directing factual documentaries. Now as he releases his debut feature 'Silence, he talks to Iftn. 'Silence' is a South Wind Blows and Harvest Films Production. The feature was directed by Pat Collins from a script by Collins, Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhride and Sharon Whooley. It was edited by Tadhg O'Sullivan (About Beauty), with Richard Kendrick (An Crisis) as director of photography. Tina Moran was the producer.

Bosnian war drama As If I Am Not There received three Ifta awards for Best Film, Director and Script for the film's Irish writer/director Juanita Wilson at tonight's Ifta awards, celebrating the Irish film and television industry.
Martin MCCann was named Best Actor for 'Swansong - Story of Occi Byrn', while Amy Huberman was got Best Actress for 'Rewind.'
Pierce Brosnan and Saorise Ronan took home the supporting honours at the awards with Brosnan winning Best Supporting Actor for his role in 'The Ghost', while Ronan's part in The Way Back earned her the supporting actress honour.
In the international categories, 'The Social Network' won the best international film, with its star Jesse Eisenberg winning Best Actor. Annette Bening took Best Actress for 'The Kids Are All Right'.

Wildfire Films' comedy series, 'An Crisis', and 'World 2000's historical drama 'The Tudors' have received six and three Golden Nymph nominations respectively at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival 2010. The nominations received include nods for the acting talents of Risteard Cooper, Conor MacNeill, Norma Sheahan and Michelle Beamish in 'An Crisis' and Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Match Point, Shelter) in 'The Tudors'.
