- The two teams, consisting of a total of eleven celebrities, gather together in Sydney to meet their boss, Lord Alan Sugar. The first clue that they get about their next task comes when he arrives in a Big Bus, a double-decker tourist bus that is a common sight on the streets of Sydney and other big cities. The teams have to use a Big Bus to create their own bespoke Sydney tour experience which fits a theme that will be given to the team. The team whose tour leaves more customers satisfied with their experience will win $20,000 for their Project Manager's chosen charity.
The teams gather to plan their tours and choose someone as a Project Manager. Model and Australian Survivor (2016) contestant David Genat is at the helm for Team Momentum, who are challenged to create a scenic tour. Fashion designer Camilla Franks heads up Team Fun-Raisers, who have to create a historic tour. Camilla has a number of grand ideas for her team's tour, saying "I want to take history out of the bus ride so it's not just a boring vanilla tour", and also suggesting "Mother" as a name for the tour, for the simple reason that she sells a line of bags which feature the word, which prompts comedian Ross Noble to facetiously ask "Why don't we call it 'Adidas'?", an idea that makes him chuckle. Team Momentum have a lot of confidence about the plans for their scenic tour, which they decide to call the "Icons Only Tour". Their tour will take guests from a Welcome to Country address by a First Peoples elder to an experience of Bondi Beach curated by style influencer and Married at First Sight Australia (2015) contestant Martha Kalifatidis.
It's time for the teams' tours to begin, but Team Momentum get off to a rocky start when David's decision not to familiarise himself with the layout of Centennial Park, which he had chosen as the location of the Welcome to Country experience, comes back to bite him hard. The tour group spend more than 25 minutes wandering around the park in a fruitless search for the elder before David decides to abandon that part of the tour altogether, and his group return to their bus and travel to Bondi Beach, where Martha, dressed in a bikini, is waiting for the group with fresh juices for them. The group are taken to the beach's golden sands for a sunbathing experience, where David refuses to be outdone by Martha and strips off his shirt to join the tour group, hoping the sight of his body will make up for what happened in Centennial Park and improve the satisfaction of the tour's customers.
Meanwhile, at Team Fun-Raisers, the Mother of all tours begins with the tour leaders being decked out in a multi-colour spray of Australiana and flowing fabric that Ross describes as "Camilla fatigues". But the tour is not without its problems either - Camilla spends more than 15 minutes applying sunscreen, serving barbecued sausages in slices of bread and taking photos of the tourists, then she leads the group to the place where she planned for them to board the bus, only to find that it has departed without them. Camilla says "Oops" as entrepreneur, Boost Juice founder and adviser to Lord Sugar Janine Allis admonishes her for the critical error. Eventually, the bus returns and the group can finally board it. As they drive around Sydney, actor and comedian Rob Shehadie puts his own "labels" on the places that they drive by, with lines like "That's Chinatown on your left there", "You'll see a lot of terraces on the right here", "That is a block of units" and "Also to your left is Darling Harbour. I saw Jerry Seinfeld here not long ago". Thinking that his tour-giving abilities, or lack thereof, are not going down well with the tourists, radio host and comedian Michael Wipfli decides to take over, and he offers stories of the indigenous histories of the areas that the tour passes through, in a way that leaves Janine seriously impressed.
With the bus tours drawing to a close, it's time for the teams to bring their big guns out with their bespoke Sydney experiences. At Team Momentum, interior designer and The Block (2003) judge Shaynna Blaze and Olympic artistic gymnast and Australian Ninja Warrior (2017) contestant Olivia Vivian guide their tourists on a Sydney Harbour Bridge climb, while at Team Fun-Raisers, weight loss guru and personal trainer Michelle Bridges and Ross take their group back to the convict era at the Hyde Park Barracks, dressing in period costumes and revealing their inner entertainers as they put on their best charm to leave the group with a big impression of their historical experience. As Ross chaotically approaches the audience brandishing a cat-o-nine-tails, Janine says "I was very concerned with this team up until now, but I truly believe Ross may have just saved them".
Only time will tell whether lashes are a worse experience than being fired, as the two teams gather outside the boardroom ready to hear the results of their task after the feedback from the participating tourists is received. Lord Sugar's executive assistant, Natasha Young, tells the celebrities to enter the boardroom, and after they take their places, Lord Sugar arrives. He begins by asking Team Momentum why they led their guests around Centennial Park for 25 minutes and failed to deliver the Welcome to Country ceremony that they promised. Activewear empress and adviser Lorna Jane Clarkson is just as blunt when she adds "It felt like we didn't know what we were doing". Team Fun-Raisers are not spared from criticism by Lord Sugar either when he asks them why their tour seemed to be centred on Camilla's line of clothing more than anything else, leading Ross to smirk with bitter glee.
The advisers then reveal the results of the tourists' feedback. 87.8 per cent of Team Fun-Raisers' guests were satisfied with their experience, and for Team Momentum, the customer satisfaction score is 94.5 per cent, meaning that Team Momentum are granted a ticket of leave from the boardroom, while David's charity, the Garvan Institute, receive $20,000. As they celebrate their win, they watch on as Lord Sugar and Team Fun-Raisers talk about what went wrong for the team. Then it is time for Camilla, as the losing Project Manager, to bring two people back with her to the final part of the boardroom. She quickly makes Rob her first choice, but while she equivocates about her second choice, some of the celebrities in Team Momentum share their views with the rest of their group, with both Shaynna and Martha opining that Ross is safe. However, Camilla makes Ross her second choice, justifying her decision by saying that she felt he had negated her leadership and made her feel quite unsettled. The looks and remarks of outrage in the winners room are matched by those in the boardroom, which for a while lead Camilla to second-guess her decision, but Ross insists on facing the final boardroom, and everyone files out awkwardly as three celebrities join Team Momentum in the winners room leaving Camilla, Rob and Ross to face the prospect of being fired.
After Lord Sugar has a discussion with his advisers, he gets Natasha to send the three celebrities back in. As they each defend their actions on the tour, things between Ross and Camilla get very personal quickly as Ross reveals why he was OK with facing the final boardroom. He tells Camilla "You're in your little bubble ... You've got a one-track mind and you don't listen to anyone else. You live in Camilla World and everything is about you, your personality, your world. You are completely self-obsessed. If we could have done a bus tour that was selling Camilla and all about Camilla and her merch, it was the most fantastic, amazing thing as a launch of you". As he vents his frustrations, Rob sits and twiddles his thumbs like he is a third wheel to this hate-fest. Lord Sugar finds an expression that is appropriate for the task when he tells Camilla "By bringing Ross to the boardroom here, it could be that you've thrown yourself under the bus".
Ross says that he doesn't want to leave without sorting things out with Camilla, but she goes on a counter-attack by saying with a trembling voice "I'm not gonna put myself in that position again, because you've already just gone on the attack, and it doesn't feel so great, so let's just not go there. We're done. You've personally attacked me and tried to make me feel really small and in a really aggressive manner, and that's a reflection of your character". Lord Sugar is forced to intervene by saying "Ladies and gentlemen, ENOUGH! I'm going to talk and you shut up". The boardroom falls silent for a moment, then the magnate continues by not understanding why Ross is even in the boardroom, which makes the comedian go from clenching his teeth and willing further insults as a response to Camilla's offensive to be left unspoken to cracking a small smile. Lord Sugar has a go at Camilla for failing to recognise one of Team Fun-Raisers' greatest assets, then he points out that Rob is a resident of Sydney, yet he still performed poorly as a tour guide, and cuts the boardroom's tension straight down the middle by saying to the local comedian "Rob, you're fired". Rob stifles an angry groan as he feels like he has just taken the bullet, but the sighs of relief that Ross and Camilla breathe appear to be short-lived, and the feud between them will not be ending any time soon.
