It’s a bold, new post-Loki world for Disney+. To deal with it, Disney+ is going right back to the Marvel well for its list of August 2021 new releases.
Marvel’s What If…? premieres August 11 on Disney+. This is an animated series that will feature speculative stories within the MCU like “What if Peggy Carter became Captain America?”, “What if the Ravagers took T’Challa to space?”, and “What if…zombies?!?!?!” While What…If? always seemed like a fun thought exercise, the series has really taken on a vital multiversal context in light of Loki‘s conclusion.
In non-Marvel news, Disney+ will be filling out its library offerings this month. Mrs. Doubtfire arrives on August 6 and will be followed by Eragon on August 20. After its brief premier access release, Cruella will make itself a permanent, free home on Disney on August 27.
There aren’t many other original Disney+ series to speak of in August.

How far are you willing to push yourself?
How far are you willing to let others push you toward new experiences?
That's the gist of Breaking Bobby Bones, the Nat Geo series starring radio personality Bobby Bones.
On each episode, Bobby takes on multiple challenging new jobs across the United States, pushing himself to his personal limits to see what it's like to walk in someone else's shoes.
We take a lot of things for granted.
There's a popular saying these days: "first-world problems."
Many times, those of us in Western culture fail to see how wonderful we have it.
Bobby Bones takes us on a personal journey with our fellow Americans to show us some of the more challenging job opportunities that require skill, sure, but bravery, as well.
It's about celebrating the unsung heroes of the workplace who make our lives better.
For every wonderful thing we experience,...

July is the month that North America goes back to the movies in earnest. There have already been some theatrical release of note this summer, but as everyone knows the blockbuster movie season doesn’t get started until a Marvel movie premieres. Thankfully, with its list of new releases for July 2021, Disney+ is offering up some options for those who prefer to stay home.
In addition to arriving in theaters on July 9, Black Widow will premiere on Disney+ as well. Disney+ subscribers can purchase the first Marvel movie released since 2019 for $29.99. Judging by the early buzz, that “Premier Access” price may be worth it. Disney+ is keeping the original summer movie parade going in July with The Rock’s latest action film, Jungle Cruise, premiering on July 30.
