I don't understand why this series is not more popular. Great acting and writing. Interesting time period. I also don't understand how the Emmy's haven't rewarded this show. Same with the 'Mayor of Kingstown.' Same with '1883.' Instead they honor crap like 'Succession.'
That said, last week I wrote that I don't much care for this meddlesome priest, Father Diarmid (Mark Ryder). This week, I like him even less. Poor Jenny (Jill Hennessy), she's learned nothing about people from her husband in all the years of marriage.
Meantime, Siobhan (Lauren Banks) turns a corner and Jackie (Kevin Bacon) decides to jump into the deep end.
This was a fast-paced episode with multiple plot lines exploding. Excellent writing and direction and an outstanding episode for Hennessy and Bacon.
