Cassie is out for revenge and Suzanne and her family become her prey. She plots to take away everything from them slowly! This movie had a very well-written script but the acting could have been a bit better. Still, based on the plot would definitely watch again!

A standard LMN low budget unimaginitive plot

Gee, where have we seen a plot like this? Almost every every fifth LMN movie is like this. A girl wants revenge on someone who may or may not have ruined her life, but we don't definitively know for sure. This someone claims near the end that it was another lawyers fault, but in most cases she should have been more involved and known about the deceit. The ending was so typical where the mother is heroically saved and the.perp is supposedly killed , but some how survives.
It's not good, but I finished it.

Wow to save her own life, Suzanne (who's all about women's empowerment btw) tosses another lady lawyer under the bus. Cat/Cassie is murderous and she basically sends her after another person...how you ask? Well in spite of Cassie being shot and landing in the pool after going over the balcony like Goldie Hawn in Death Becomes Her, she lives on to get her revenge.
Lifetime thinks we are stupid. Lol, how is she shot but no blood in the water? There are wet footprints indicating she got away (nobody heard swishing pool water?), but no sign of blood. The the police chase her over a cliff (yes two dramatic near deaths in one night!) and yet assure the family that she's really most sincerely dead, and can't harm them anymore, even though they AGAIN have no body. Lol, this movie is so absurd and not even in the fun Lifetime way.
This movie is a mess. Bad acting (mostly by Suzanne who makes strange acting choices) and implausible/ridiculous events. No one ever questions why things just start happening when Cassie shows up. No one questions why everyone in the neighborhood knows a family moved out, and yet their "housekeeper" still hung around.
Also A Daughter's Deceit is not a title I'd say matches the movie.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL acting and a very impossible ending, even for Lifetime. I gave it 4 stars for the fairly original plot, but the whole thing made no sense.
Honey, yo momma was a low rent con woman. You seek revenge (in an awful wig) years later on the wrong woman, and despite being shot in the gut and driven down a cliff you survive to get revenge in the "right" person? As if her face was not all over the news? And as if cops would just say "eh...nobody could survive that fall down the hill. Just trust us, she's dead." Mkay!
But back to the acting....every single actor in this needs to look for a new line of work.
