Introducing Robin, and questionable writing.

Warning: Spoilers
With Karl and Julie gone, it was clear the show needed a change. So they introduced a strip joint arc, with a new character played by Julie Benz. It's always nice to see her onscreen, but « she » was missing layers of interpretations there, I thought. True they had tons to tell about how her character got unlucky in life. But it was not very natural, and making her too « innocent » didn't help either. And her fling with Katherine, was too random and fleeting to even care. I love the opening scene for « Lovely », where the husbands and spouses reacted to the presence of this beautiful woman/former stripper in Wisteria Lane. And Lynette's « oh no » to Tom's « game » always crack me up. But some of the housewives handling Robin's new presence, throughout the rest of the episode, made them look petty and shrewish. I never found Bree and Orson's love story, very believable. But Bree's failed lap dance to Tchaikovsky, and the heart to heart that followed, was the first time this series couple, looked genuine. After all they went through, this way of trying to rekindle their love, was exactly what writers needed to finally make their relationship look rewarding. Susan got on my nerves, again. But her own misadventures with Robin, had fine comic reliefs too. Katherine's segment, was the best I thought. I like how they immediately clicked, became each others confident, and when they kissed, to get the two losers at the restaurant, rilled up. Turning Robin into Katherine's girl crush however, was tacky. Being over men, doesn't necessarily mean turning to lesbianism, right? I also like her little talk with Karen near the end, but even Mary Alice's closing voiceovers sounded odd this time. Because I honestly don't get how Gabby could think, Robin telling on her, and have everything she was trying to prevent from happening, all this time. Happen, be a good thing...

It's all about Robin!

This chapter is very interesting because the authors and creators of Desperate Housewives decided to return to the comic narrative atmosphere of the first season, and they succeeded. I really enjoyed to watch this episode that the screenwriter did an interesting thing here by taking a secondary character to bring about changes in the main characters when they themselves do it. Robin the stripper just spectacular that the actress who plays her you bought it within seconds, but still all about Robin. So,I think this is the best episode of the Desperate Housewives this season, and maybe ever. So, I just hope for the actress that plays Robin to get a many of roles in the future.Yes,she's amazing and beautiful.
