Produced as an entry in the National Film Challenge 2009. The production team had 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit the film using required elements provided by the contest organizers.
Tom Kane (who plays Yoda in Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008)) was originally set to provide the voice for Mitch's boss in the voice mail. Unfortunately, he had a STAR WARS appearance in Dallas and was unable to participate.
This is the first Devinshire Jamestown Pictures project using a two-camera shooting scenario. The crew used two Panasonic AG-DVX100B mini-DV cameras.
The Record Bar, where most of the story takes place, is also a location in the feature The Apology Dance (2010). The bar was empty at the time of shooting. The crowd sounds were recorded separately and added in post-production.
