Nice short film about a young woman (Heaven Murphy) who travels from New York to Los Angeles where she's staying in the house of her friends. Once in the house alone the woman begins taking some cocaine, pills and alcohol and before long she has another thing to worry about. I'm not going to ruin what this other "thing" is since the entire film plot basically has this being a mix between a fantasy and mystery. For the most part I thought writer-director Hilton Carter did a very good job with the film and especially the directing. I was never quite certain where the story was going, which is a good thing but the directing helped bring it all together. At first you think you're just watching a troubled young girl drama then there's a brief hint at something more along the lines of a horror film and then we get to the real part of the story. Another major plus is Murphy who is extremely good in the film. Even though this lasts under fifteen-minutes the actress really makes you pay attention to the character and even start to care for what happens to her. The film contains some nice style along the way and outside some fake looking CGI the film manages to entertain from start to finish and is well worth watching.
