Sexually derogatory terms such as "dick", "cock", and "pussy" are also used frequently. Some curses are used by children including some obscene hand gestures.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The main characters sell drugs from an ice cream truck. They are seen selling beer and joints (they are seen rolling them up too) to kids as young as 12-14

  • While there are lots of scenes depicting substance use (marijuana, ecstasy pills, powdered cocaine, crystallized methamphetamine, crack cocaine, heroin, opium poppy, Percocet, Oxycontin and myriad of other narcotics referenced). Drug use gets more infrequent and brief throughout the seasons. Yes, there are a lot of excessive alcohol drinking, smoking or using other substances, but this show has a strong anti-drug message, and will definitely throw you off the idea of abusing drugs or alcohol.
  • There are scenes in the 2nd season with a marijuana farm and tons of marijuana dealing in the 2nd and 5th season. An opium farm is shown in the 6th seasons and plotlines of meth dealing in the 2nd, 5th, 7th and 8th seasons including meth farms being shown. In the third season a cocaine den shown
