Definitive Skins episode
greenylennon15 March 2010
I believed that the first season was the better. After watching this episode, I had to change idea. Fourth season is more beautiful and lyrical than the first one, although it lacks humour. I'd feel a criminal to spoil the plot, because it's so full of subtleties and surprises that you must see the episode; if I had to compare it, I would compare it to the second-last episode in season two, with Cook behaving as Michelle behaved, and the scene at the pub as the supper scene at Chris and Cassie's place (my humble opinion). I didn't like a lot Cook and Effy before, but here I changed opinion: Effy is so well written and well acted, she doesn't seem a TV character.

The dialogue scenes (Effy and Naomi at the hospital, Cook and Effy at the park) and the scenes between Effy and Freddy are top notch, and soundtrack is perfectly chosen. Don't miss this one.

Simply fascinating

Warning: Spoilers
For a show that's pacing is entirely dependent on the character it focuses on for the episode, for the first time, it doesn't matter whether you like the titular character or not. Effy is a brilliant episode that finally elaborates on the self-destructive behavior of Effy Stonem, while simultaneously introducing the scariest villain you never expect to see from a teenage drama show. The ending left me speechless and utterly shocked. Even though, up until this point, Skins never failed to amaze me with it's unexpected dark turns and undertone, this feels like a new milestone in itself. 10/10, an impressive episode of a casual binge party.

Good till the last 3 minutes

The episode is beautifully done, the acting and most story are awesome. Freedie and Effy and Cook story could have tied its finally...but the ending...its traumatizing.

We could have seen a much more deep insight into mental health problems are we saw with JJ arc but we got a easy way out ...cant believe the same writers that delivered this season agreed to the ending...

The last 3 minutes are the worst writting decision in British TV history, second only to Game of Thrones last episode. If they changed it they would've had a great ending much more real than the one we see here.

I really love Skins and hope someday I can forget the last 3 minutes and the last episode.

Effy's Hospital Time

Warning: Spoilers
Effy is in the hospital. Naomi comes visit and the place looks calming with the green space and horse stable vibes. I love her tied up curly hair.

Effy goes home where her mom has tidied her room. Her room is clean and has a whiteboard schedule for every day of the month.

I love Effy's outfits in this episode. She wears this grey cardigan, baggy jeans and combat boots. She switched to a white tee and plaid top with everything else being the same for her first reunion with Freddie.

Freddie is so happy to see her and they have sex. I love her lace black bra.

At school Effy's last day is here. Panda and her hold hands and get their report cards. Effy has been generously given 3 A's due to her medical time.

The gang party at this cozy place and read out their grades.
