I Don't Want to Hear Another Honest Word In This Lab
SlutforBones12 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The cold open to this Ep was great, poor kid though. At this point i think Booth is still just healing from Hannah and Bones is waiting for him. The end scene is great on this episode but they really just need to make out or something. The case was lack luster which is why i deducted points. Angela was very much in the right when confronting Hodgins with their possible reality. The murder weapons wasn't exciting but finding it I thought was a good change. Death by playground! I thought the lab b plot was funny but they made Cam petty. She could have handled it better and is further proof they need HR.

The writers are giving us crumbs between B&B we need more 7/10.

Not really bad writing - in fact, quite enjoyable writing

Warning: Spoilers
This is your run of the mill episode of Bones, and that's what makes it a good episode. After last weeks not so good episode, it was refreshing to get an episode that follows the structure that Bones fans know and love.

This episode deals with the concept of honesty and what it is like when people are always honest. I thought this was a fun concept to explore because our beloved Dr. Brennan is known for telling the harsh truths.

I was so happy that Hodgins and Angela had an open and honest conversation about the problems they were having with each other. Nothing frustrates me more than miscommunication and avoidance in tv show relationships as a way to drag out conflict. I liked that they had an issue, avoided it for a little bit, but then acted like adults and had a conversation about it that left them for the better at the end of the episode.

The end of the episode was so sweet when Booth was talking about how much it meant to him that Bones was there after his breakup. I think this was really important for them to discuss because in that episode Booth was pretty harsh towards Bones, telling her something like "either sit down, stop talking about Hannah, and have a drink, or leave." It felt like a good resolution.

Best part: Bones and Booth at the end of the episode

Worst part: not the most engaging case (but still good enough to get 8/10 rating)

It's a Sin to Tell a Lie
Hitchcoc14 February 2023
A body is found in a planter by a boy who is peeping on girls in the shower room at a beach. The guy is very rich advertising executive. He has burned a bunch of bridges and begins alienating people (although he had plenty of enemies already). He ends up joining an "honesty" group. Their thing is to tell the truth no matter what the circumstance. This is right up Brennan's alley. Of course, the worst thing that could happen to an ad man is to tell the truth, since their livelihoods are based on lies. The fun in the episode is when Bray needs some extra hours (he is poor and broke). He decides to use the truth thing to get Cam to give him the hours. But at some point he becomes sickeningly honest. Not a bad episode.

Cam's Arrogance Strikes Again
XXniteXX10 July 2022
Cam really shows how she really is, a holier than thou nut, if someone disagrees, she gets an attitude and has to say, "I'm the boss". Another example, is how she dealt with Michelle's college decision, it's all about her. On top of it, a few episodes ago, she got the "Karen" haircut to go with the attitude, wish we still had Goodman instead of the power trip.

really bad writing
sandcrab27725 July 2018
This series is getting worse instead of better ... as each episode rolls by we keep getting signals that the writers are grasping at straws to keep it afloat in the last episode hart hanson, actually subbed his new show as an episode ... you people are pathetic and brennan is still spouting crapola that may interest some and booth is still ignoring the obvious because he is a gorilla
