Femme fatales are usually supporting characters in any crime or espionage thriller. The last femme fatale who created a lot of noise for her suave action skills and sheer beauty in a film was Ana de Armas in No Time to Die. Ever since, there have been only a handful of films and television shows that have explored this archetype. Even in the Hindi cinema space, the last interesting film that deeply explored the femme fatale was Vishal Bhardwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf. Wingwomen, whose French title is Voleuses, loosely translated to thieves, is the story of two friends who are on the verge of leaving the life of crime. This French Netflix original film, released on November 2, 2023, is based on the comic book of the same name by Florent Ruppert, Jérôme Mulot, and Christophe Deslandes and is directed by Mélanie Laurent.

“Life isn’t measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of moments that take your breath away”. Bollywood’s music has been around 89 years going into 2020 and it’s been taking our breath away for however long we’ve been listening to it. Everyone has a favourite singer, music director and genre which defines for them the perfect song. This of course makes a list of the best songs of the decade a difficult task as they are so subjective to each person. There’s so many perfect songs in Bollywood! Thus, below is a list of some of the great songs of the decade!

‘Pee Loon’ – Once Upon a Time in Mumbai
Music: Pritam – Singer: Mohit Chauhan
Overalapping sounds, lightly classical and a love story blossoming… so simple a formula but this song shows why it continues to work. Mohit is sublime backed by Pritam’s instrumentation.

It has been a while since Bhardwaj and Bond teamed up for a project.

He is my neighbour in Mussoorie and I would love to collaborate with him again."
"He was interested to make something on my stories of Mr. Oliver, who is a schoolmaster, from my book called 'Mr. Oliver's Diary'. We have also discussed some other stories, of a very different nature.

It takes a really keen eye to visualise a film in a short story. Then to turn it into a full-fledged film is a different task altogether. And Vishal Bharadwaj has done exactly that to Ruskin Bond's short story, Susanna's Seven Husbands. There is no denying that the promo of Vishal Bhardwaj's next Saat Khoon Maaf is indeed captivating. Besides Priyanka Chopra's mesmerising performance, if there is one thing that stays with you long after the promo has ended it's the song 'Darrrling' which plays in the background. While Saat Khoon Maaf itself is an adaptation of Ruskin Bond's novel 'Sussanna's Seven Husbands', even the song 'Darrrling' isn't entirely original. The song in fact finds its roots in the Russian folk song 'Kalinka' and even has a few Russian words in it. The Russian song 'Kalinka' was written in 1860 by Ivan Larionov and has since then been a part of various Russian stage shows. One of the reasons for using a Russian song could be the fact that one of Priyanka Chopra's 7 Husbands in Saat Khoon Maaf is Russian actor Aleksandr Dyachenko.

September 16, 2010: Malayalam maverick Mohanlal is back with a film directed by the prolific Priyadarshan, the director’s 40th film with the versatile actor!
If all had gone well, Mohanlal would have been back in Bollywood for Vishal Bharadwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf where he was to play one of Priyanka Chopra’s 7 husbands. Now the magical Mohanlal is making a comeback to Hindi cinema in Priyadarshan’s new thriller to be shot on a speeding train in London from September. This, emphasize both Mohanlal and Priyadarshan, is not a remake of The Bullet Train.
This would be Mohanlal’s.
