When Ellis is on the phone and Adaline takes his cup of whiskey, the camera goes back to Ellis after Adaline walks out. An extra glass appears on the table.
The Jones family's silver Jeep Grand Cherokee is a 3rd generation model in its first few appearances, but after Ellis gets the keys it's a completely redesigned 4th generation model. Major differences are the addition of LED headlights and a horizontal taillight design.
After Trivial Pursuit, when Ellis is speaking on the mobile in the kitchen, he has a glass with him. Jenny comes in and takes it from him and the camera follows her out of the room, still holding the glass. The camera then cuts back to Ellis, who is still speaking on the phone, and the glass has re-appeared on the bench.
When Adeline is first having a meal with Ellis in his apartment, we see her holding a fork in her right hand. The viewpoint then changes and she is holding the fork in her left hand.
Any meteor is totally insignificant compared to the Moon (which is bigger than Pluto and a hundred times more massive than the largest asteroid in the solar system), so an impact would have absolutely no effect upon the lunar tides of Earth.
When they are playing Trivial Pursuit, one of the questions is, "When and where was the Hulahoop introduced?" Adeline says, "At the World's Fair in Schenectady, New York in 1956," and the guidebook confirms her answer as correct. There was no World's Fair in Schenectady, NY in 1956. Also, Hulahoop with this name was first introduced in 1957 and marketed in 1958.
The calculations of the comet's orbit were said to have given a "mathematically perfect perigee". Not only is there nothing special ("perfect") about any given perigee point, but to have a perigee an object must be in orbit around Earth. The comet was not in such an orbit.
At the end in which the comet finally shows up, the CG has the rear of the comet glowing as though it's a rocket and giving off the trailing tail. Comets' sun forward part warms up and the expanding gases are pushed back by the solar wind.
Numerous errors with the license plate on the car the 2 FBI agents took Adaline away in the beginning of the film. The tag marks the year being 1954 where the iconic black and gold lettering California plate wasn't introduced until 1963. Also, there's 7 numbers used on this plate which not only breaks from the standard 3 letters followed by 3 numbers format used at the time, but California plates didn't hit a 7th character until 1980. Also the design the the plate is completely backwards The California was at the top along with the left and right tag slots and all the lettering and numbers had rounded corners not sharp, chiseled edges with serifs as seen on the plate in the film.
When Adaline is in the car and she calls her daughter Flemming, the WiFi-signal on her phone is visible on the display of her phone.
When young William asks the other camper to take a photo of them after Adeline injuries her hand, she covers her mouth with her fingers pointing outward, away from her face. When they show the final picture, her fingers are pointing inward. Since they didn't have digital cameras back then and film was precious, it would be highly unlikely they would take more than one photo.
The girl who plays little Fleming at the funeral looks too old to be four or five-year-old; she at least looks eight years old.
When she takes Ellis glass of liquor outside at his parents to go for a walk, she took the glass but it was there in the next shot on the counter.
Before Adaline/Jenny gets the last Trivial Pursuit question "for the win", you can see that her playing piece is missing the blue wedge. The last roll of the dice is a 2 which would not bring her playing piece to the blue headquarters square where she could collect the blue wedge.
And even if it had, you don't win immediately after having collected all 6 wedges. You're supposed to go to the hub of the board and answer a final question.
When she is pulled over near the beginning of the film, her driver's permit as a ZIP code on it, even though she was born in 1908 and the cop says she's 45, making it 1953. ZIP codes were not introduced until 1963.
In 1929, Adaline and her mother visit the Golden Gate Bridge which "three years hence" would be completed. The narrator then states that in February of 1937, there is a construction accident - eight years after 1929. The 1937 date is correct for the Bridge's history, so the original statement is in error.
Although this film is set in San Francisco, USA, at the beginning of the film where we see Adaline gets off the cab just outside Tony's apartment, there is a Canadian flag clearly visible far away in the background (top right of the frame), indicating that the actual filming location is Vancouver, Canada.
Ellis invited Adaline to dinner at his place located at 303 18th street. The audience sees Adaline exiting a yellow taxi and the Coit Tower is clearly visible in the background. 303 18th street is in Potrero Hill and it's 4.7 miles away from the Coit Tower.
