Gracie Allen: Gracie Allen
Quotes
-
Gracie Allen : Blanche Morton, I'm surprised at you. George is my husband just like Harry is your husband, and you know as well as I do that a husband is the boss.
Blanche Morton : Yeah.
Gracie Allen : And whatever our husbands want us to do, we do!
Blanche Morton : Well, that's the way it's always been, and I guess that's the way it will always be.
[both women laugh]
-
Gracie Allen : George, what did you say when I asked you about sponsoring a ballet?
George Burns : Nothing doing.
Gracie Allen : That's what he said.
Blanche Morton : You know, Gracie, it's a shame. You should tell George it's a great honor. Everybody who is anybody is interested in the ballet. If not, they're nobody.
Gracie Allen : George?
George Burns : Yeah?
Gracie Allen : Blanche wants to know if you'd rather be somebody who's anybody than everybody who's nobody.
George Burns : Tell her to stay out of the hot sun.
