And Sew It Begins (#8.1)

Once again starting a new season and very excited to see the talented designers and what they will bring. Was not too happy about it still being part of the audition, I don't see a point, just making it harder to follow with bringing in more people. Yet at the same time I guess it made it more dramatic.

The challenge was of course very hard considering the small amount of time given. I actually liked April's dress. Sure it was unfinished which is understandable considering the limited time, but I would sure wear this design. I also didn't have an issue with Casanova's work. Yes, it is not an every day dress, but this was not asked in the challenge. Sometimes they present very extraordinary clothes that one would not wear. And his design was both sexy and elegant and very flowy.

I would personally either evict Ivy or the guy whose name I don't remember yet who just turned the kimono around. Simply because of the lack of work provided and because it was kind of ugly. But am looking forward to see more.

I feel bad for McKell Maddox. Was probably the first time I remember when Tim liking something was eliminated. The dress wasn't great but at least there was some thought to it. Was also sad when the rest wanted to congratulate her and turned out she was out. Well I looked at her portfolio after and see she does great work, too bad we didn't get to see more on the show.

Now that after first show was audition and only one was out I can see that soon more than 1 will be eliminated on a round. Will it be in challenge or individual competition? Well, let's see!
