Nasty Hallucinatory Trips
ccthemovieman-18 March 2012
Warning: Spoilers
CSI writers enjoy presenting us with some wild stories and, boy, this one might be the wildest. I guarantee you one thing: the opening segment is the craziest you've probably ever seen on CSI. It's a like an LSD experiment gone bad. It's hallucinatory, to say the least.....and a very bad dream-like sequence.

Anyway, a man is cut up into four pieces: head, two hands and the rest of the body and discovered in various areas. The main suspect. "Jason Kreeger," leads Horatio and the gang to each spot but really has no idea what is going on. "Natalia" isn't buying it. She thinks this is "a dream defense" similar to the one her "ex" tried on her. Is she right? Well, no she isn't and how that plays out is pretty far out, from femme fatales, to boyfriends to psychic healers....most of the characters in this wacked-out story are just fact....but it makes for an interesting episode. Even Natalie winds up taking a bad trip.

I give this high marks for entertainment, not for realism.

OK episode that started out just like Dark City
deedbr22 June 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This was an OK episode. Like many of the episodes of recent years the plot really has almost no realism left. However, I watch CSI Miami more for the action and entertainment than any realism.

I was able to pick the main bad guy almost immediately. However, this episode had multiple baddies that where guilty to varying degrees so it could keep you guessing. I have noticed that this show and many others rely to much on what I call the "add on" character for the main bad guy. What I mean is the good guys go talk to someone who probably should be the bad guy because of motive, or relationship but the real bad guy ends up being the add on character that shows up when they are talking to the person who would be the real life suspect. This can be a friend, coworker, over eager next door neighbor. Once I spot them I call out guilty and people look at me like I am crazy. Yet time and again they end up being the guilty party.

Now what I noticed that was a little odd was the opening scene seemed to be a blatant rip off of Dark City. Man appears to come to in an unfamiliar bathroom. He doesn't know what is going on. There is a murder weapon and the real clincher is there is a fish on the floor struggling for life that he ends up putting into the bathtub.
