It's a Jersey Thing(some spoilers)
gangstahippie14 October 2010
Warning: Spoilers
People from Jersey are moving into South Park. These people are very loud, obnoxious, annoying and stupid. So now, the people of South Park must find a way to get rid of them, or else South Park will become "West Jersey". Meanwhile, we find out that Kyle's mother is originally from Jersey, so therefore Kyle has a small amount of Jersey in him.The episode mostly mocks the reality series "Jersey Shore".I have seen only one episode of the series, as I am not a fan of reality-TV.Like shows such as Jerry Springer, it is stupid yet at the same time oddly intriguing and humorous. Of course the show is nowhere near as good as Springer is.The episode also features the characters "Snooki", who is portrayed as a gollum-like monster, and the "situation" who gets beaten by Randy during an interrogation. Overall, the episode is fairly good, a bit better than "Poor and Stupid".Also, it was fairly interesting to see a different side of Kyle's mom.We usually know her as the angry, concerned parent who hates foul language and toilet humor, yet here we see her acting as loud and foul-mouthed woman from Jersey.

Underrated

I don't understand why this is not regarded as a classic. It has some of the elements that made me interested in South Park in the first place. Snooki and Osama Bin Laden in the same episode.. How can you not love this? I mean c'mon!! :)

Started off amazingly

But then just dragged and lost me towards the end. Loved the idea...and the execution for the beginning was on point. The set up was better than the punch line.

I was shocked when i noticed it only had a rating of 8 on IMDB bc it started off so well, i was expecting to see a rating of 9 or 10. I ended up giving it a 7. I really wanted to like it more. This was my 3rd or 4th viewing of this episode 10 years later though.

I wish I could forget I ever watched it...

Warning: Spoilers
...so I could watch it again! The backstory for Kyle and Sheila being from New Jersey made way for some of the funniest moments in the series! Not to mention the recurring bit between Eric and Kyle with the "three strikes" was a memorable kind of joke you don't see writers do very often. By far the very best scene in the whole episode is the one towards the end where the crowd of Jersey Shore sentient garbage is destroyed by Al-Qaeda's airplanes, followed closely by Kyle going through a Goku-type metamorphosis into a Jersey Shore tween in order to save Cartman from Snooki the only way possible; by being even more Jersey-esque than her.

It's a Jersey thing!

New Jersey's people started to move to South Park but their language and mean behavior is moving with them too. South Park's people are quite afraid that these people would spread more and more, so they decided to get help from al-Qaida to cease that. Stan is quite angry because his mother too is from New Jersey so his cute friend Cartman is considering him that he's from New Jersey and he needs to move out too.

This is a thought-provoking episode to convey that most people judge you by default from where you were born or raised, so it was clearly depicted that all the people from New Jersey are quite bad and they suck without taking into consideration that individuals differ and it's not a one-size-fits-all matter.

Worst South Park episodes of all time!

Yes, I'm originally from NJ and I'm part Italian, evan though The Jersey Shore is a huge discrase to NJ and that's why the modern South Park episodes are a huge discrease to me, because people from NJ don't deserve this kind of treatment! And that is where Trey and Matt are going to far!
