Uneven, overall worth sticking with

By focusing on a number of individual characters, the brief and episodic nature of this show means that its success relies on the audience sympathising with the characters, something which is occasionally difficult to do.

It's great when you see a character make progress and a few of them do - the fourth episode was a highlight.

I hope they make more episodes in the future and they focus on a couple of characters rather than having too many and allocating short segments to each. It would also be great to gain more insight into the life of the therapist (which they start to do towards the last couple of episodes).

Once again, a great show coming out of Australia.

I can't begin to tell you how well this country puts out shows, not just plopping out any drivel.

This show basically caps out at about 19 minutes per episode, with Joanne ( the psych/ therapist) and a few of her patients each episode. Each episode has 2 or 3 patients, and they ( the patients), repeat into other episode. I've seen 4 episodes, I hope that is not all, and I found them all to be exceptional. Betty and Aziz are my favorite patients. The writing and the trajectory of the stories are woven very succinctly. I'm really glad to have found this gem of a show.
