Undercover
bkoganbing11 August 2016
Donnie Wahlberg gets this one personally from his dad. An undercover cop of Pakistani origin is shot in Central Park. An undercover operation of two years could be compromised. But Wahlberg is only to make real reports to Selleck and his office. He can't take his partner Jennifer Esposito into his full confidence. That puts an unnatural strain on things.

Youngest of the Reagan siblings Will Estes gets center stage here by going with his instincts about Heather Lind who is partner Nicholas Turturro writes off as a whack job. Turns out she's not so wacky after all. Estes police instincts are being nurtured well even though his training officer thought differently about this situation.

This episode belongs to Will Estes for going with his gut.

My family loves Bluebloods

Finally, a cop show that is interesting about a family and not just about the crimes that keep them employed. Not only is it about a family but it is about a family that is more normal than anything I have seen on TV in 20 years or more. all of the characters are flawed but they love each other and accept that they are flawed. It is not over acted but genuine and really has a strong family message. The dad (Tom Selleck) and the grandfather are both very concerned about their family and are not seen as idiots but as true parental models in this show. There are not people jumping in and out of bed with each other and the crimes that are shown are not so graphic that my 13 year old cannot watch. They talk about the evidence but don't subject us to views of all of it. Mostly, we love it because it is about a family and we can relate to it. I am so thankful for some good TV for a change with so much crap out there now. Thanks for making something I can watch on a regular basis.

Hall of Mirrors Provides Vivid Images ****

Warning: Spoilers
Another great episode where a counter-terrorism police officer gets shot in Central Park. Naturally, everyone thinks it's related to his work, but what a surprise waits for all of us.

The sidebar story is almost as good. Here Danny gets involved with a young wealthy girl constantly calling the police to report that someone is after her in her own home. Danny's mentor passes her off as a nut-case, but Danny does some good detective work and eventually discovers that something is awry. Another case of "Gaslight" in our midst?

The Regans really control N.Y. by their positive, wonderful actions. I wish all urban areas had the Regans at the helm.
