This is a fairly interesting and informative historical travelogue of the British Isles. However, it contains one glaring historical error: speaking about Canterbury Cathedral, the narrator states that Thomas a Becket was "an outspoken priest who lost favor with his monarch Henry the Third, who had Becket murdered in the cathedral." Anyone who has read English history, "Murder in the Cathedral" by T.S. Eliot, "Becket" by Jean Anouilh, or even seen the movie "Becket" with Peter O'Toole and Richard Burton, knows that the monarch in question was Henry II and NOT Henry the Third. You would think that a supposedly educational documentary would get the facts straight, especially about such a famous event in English history. It's hard to believe that none of the people involved in this production caught this mistake, but I guess fact-checking isn't what it used to be. There are also many who would argue that Henry II did not "have Becket murdered," but that's another lengthy discussion I'll save for another day.
