- The language is heavily watered down in this adaptation due to FCC regulations (as it aired on a basic cable channel, MTV). All uses of 'Fuck' and 'Shit' are bleeped. The British swear words are removed as well for the purpose of Americanisation, with an example being the famous "Bus Wanker" line, which was changed to "Bus Turd" in this version.

- Why?
- The character "Jay Cartwright" forcefully kisses a 13-year-old girl, who tries to make him stop, he keeps doing it until the girl runs off and it's revealed that she bled on the carpet because Jay Cartwright caused her to have her first period. Very disturbing
- Not recommend for humans or Homosapiens
- The series is such a terrible adaption as it may make viewers mad as to how it exists.
