A shy and obscure adolescent boy seeks out a pretty soccer player whom he walks home from school after some nervous uncertainty. Along the way they attend to the playful child within themselves (performing, singing, chasing each other around an alleyway) while at the same time trying to behave maturely through literary discussions (Faulkner, Hemingway) and gracious proposals (a rose). In the end the young kids quietly depart with a plan to meet the next day after school.
