- Open with Liz telling Jack that Tracy is still "saving lives" in Africa. Jack responds that, without Tracy, TGS is going on a forced hiatus. Jack tells her he's recently bought a gay network called TWINKS. He doesn't really have a clue as to how to run the network but thinks it could be very profitable. He admits that it's getting terrible ratings so far.
Once Liz tells Frank that the show is going into "forced hiatus," he assumes the show is done and activates his "Plan B," performing stand-up at black women's colleges. Pete and Jenna also think the show is done and both of them also have a Plan B. Sue's Plan B is returning to being a police psychic like she was back in Holland. Kenneth tells Liz he's going to find a way to save the show.
Liz calls her agent Simon looking for a potential Plan B. His only idea is that she should do "something with vampires." She wants him to get her some meetings.
Jack meets with Hank. He warns Jack about ignoring his family but is still pretty mad about TWINKS losing money. He tells Jack he's failed with the new network and the only way to fix the situation would be if there is a gay Jack Donaghy someplace. Jack says there is such a person. Cut to Devon Banks sitting up in bed suddenly, having sensed something amiss.
Jack tells Liz that Banks is the perfect person to fix TWINKS, despite being his long-time nemesis. He's found Banks in Brooklyn. Jack thinks Hank will hate Banks and is therefore not worried about Banks taking a run at his job. Liz tells him about the reaction of the staff when she told them about the hiatus. His only suggestion is a meeting with Nick Lachey to write for "The Sing-Off."
Aaron Sorkin is at the meeting for "The Sing-Off." He takes her on a "West Wing" walkabout and tells her how their craft "is dead."
Kenneth's first idea to save TGS was to hold up a sign outside the "Today" show window. Frank suggests that fans could send stuff to the network to show support for the show, as was done with "Friday Night Lights" and "Roswell." Kenneth starts thinking.
Jack finds Banks is now a House Husband, taking care of his triplets. Banks is tickled at the idea of Jack offering him a job and accepts. Banks thinks Jack has made a mistake by letting him back into the picture.
Simon says that Nick Lachey hated Liz and fires her as a client.
Banks is late for a meeting with Hank and Jack. Jack tells Hank this is a power play by Banks and Hank does like it that Banks might be that kind of person. But when Banks shows up, he's brought one of the babies, saying he's been sick. Uber-family man Hank loves this development and he and Banks set up a playdate for the next day. Banks takes Jack aside and tells him this was all a ploy to get on Hank's good side.
Kenneth tells Pete his plan to save the show is to have people send sugar cubes to Hank in order to show him they're "sweet on TGS." Pete realizes this will look like anthrax once the cube is broken during delivery. Instantly the feds break in (led by Sue) to bust Kenneth.
Out on the street Liz runs into other people from dead industries: an auto worker, a jazz musician and a travel agent. Liz doesn't want to admit TGS is dead and runs off.
The next day Banks tells Jack that after the playdate, Hank has offered him Kabletown's new Europe operation, which was supposed to go to Jack. But the more Banks talks about his new job the more he realizes he can't leave his "gaybies." Jack seems almost disappointed that Banks has given up so quickly. The two then discuss their kids and Jack seems to realize he needs to be home more.
On her way out of the office, Liz has one final suggestion to save the show for Kenneth. He gently tells her it's over and he's already transferred to news. But Kenneth then casually mentions that the pizza she has with her is from the same pizzeria that Tracy has been getting his pizza from in Africa. Liz realizes this means that Tracy is still in town and all they have to do is find him to save the show.
