Ethan Carter III — EC3 — for short has ventured into uncharted waters lately on Tna Impact Wrestling. The former world champion has made the transition from despised villain to fan favorite in a matter of weeks. Despite the different response from the audience, the root of the EC3 character hasn’t changed much. The progression has been organic with the performer earning the audience’s respect in his recent battles with current Tna champ Matt Hardy. The two will battle for the title in a “six sides of steel” match, headlining a stacked card of caged action during the Lockdown edition … Continue reading →

With Gfw well and truly pushed out of Tna, this week’s Impact was…a whole lot less interesting. Sure, the show was as packed with botches, weird fans and terrible commentary as ever, but if the last few weeks have proven anything, it’s that the company is in sore need of a personality injection.
This week’s Impact was mostly a wheel-spinning affair in the lead up to Bound for Glory, setting up a few matches for the show but mostly just reeking of filler. Hopefully Dixie Carter will be smart and bring back Jeff Jarrett’s rival company soon, because their absence was sorely felt this week.
From the strangest lumberjack match ever to possibly Matt Hardy’s most hilarious Tna moment yet and a bunch of nonsensical booking decisions, here are 23 Wtf moments from this week’s Impact…

The wrestling world is in the midst of a wrestling weekend that’s all about the double champion. Jay Lethal defended both of his Ring of Honor singles titles successfully at All Star Extravaganza while Seth Rollins is about to put both of his straps on the line at WWE Night of Champions. For Rollins’ sake, hopefully he follows the same pattern as Lethal.
While those double champions are doing there thing now, it’s a good time to pause and reflect on the week that was. WWE and Roh were mostly laying the final bits of groundwork for their big shows, but Tna had a pesky invading company to deal with. They did deal with them inside of a dangerous Lethal Lockdown environment. Nxt is also in the midst of some fine tag team wrestling tournament action right now. With the news this week that Destination America has seemingly “cancelled” Impact Wrestling and reportedly given Tna until February to find a new network, they really need to start pulling out the stops to prove to potential business partners that they’re still worth dealing with.
Sadly, this week’s show did pretty much anything but that: it was a highly padded two hours, and even the widely-advertised main event couldn’t do much to spark excitement.
That said, all the usual weirdness still showed up in shades, from EC3 and Jeff Hardy’s entertaining shenanigans, to Mahabali Shera’s terrible dancing and more outrageously bad commentary zingers from Josh Matthews.
Can Tna bring the sinking ship to shore before it’s too late? Or is this week’s news just the latest announcement in the company’s long, drawn-out death?
Whatever happens, here are 20 Wtf...

As both Lethal Lockdown and Bound for Glory draw ever-closer, the Tna vs Gfw feud is ramping up to be something that’s potentially fascinating. Jeff Jarrett is back to playing a heel (where he easily looks the most comfortable), Tna’s roster members are struggling to co-exist, and Gfw are desperately trying to get a hold of as many of their titles as humanly possible.
This week, while hardly a remarkable show, was a potent reminder of the storyline’s potential, while also serving up more EC3 hilarity, all the more so given his newfound employment of Jeff Hardy as an assistant. In addition, Josh Matthews’ painful commentary reached new highs of cringe, the show had clearly been stitched together from various different tapings, and viewers got treated to one of the most pointless Lumberjack matches in wrestling history.
But hey, at least there weren’t as many awful signs this week,...

Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray & DVD Release Date: Sept. 30, 2014
Price: DVD $29.99, Blu-ray Combo $42.99, Blu-ray 3D Combo $52.99
Studio: Paramount
Transformers: Age of Extinction, the fourth installment in Michael Bay’s seemingly unending, mayhem-embracing action-thriller-science fiction franchise, arrives in a handful of configurations, including a four-disc Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack and a three-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack featuring more than three hours of content.
From selecting fierce new cars to designing new Transformers characters to constructing elaborately detailed sets, the bonus material truly seems to want to cover it all. It also includes some funny asides (an Angry Birds-inspired trailer!?) and expanded images from Age of Extinction as they were seen in IMAX theaters during the film’s theatrical run in the summer of 2014.
I’m assuming you know all about the film and franchise, so let me enlighten you further with a detailed description of the supplements on the Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D combo editions.

One of the major talking points this week stems from the ending to Sunday’s Tna Lockdown PPV, which featured a less-than-shocking heel turn for Bully Ray as he reunited with his brother Devon inside the Aces & Eights stable. The Chicago crowd jeered and threw trash in the ring, the majority of them hopefully incensed beyond a kayfabe obligation.
Whether the former Team 3D wrestler will prove to be a credible champion remains to be seen, though fans now await with trepidation the terrifying possibility of Ray stepping into the ring with a vengeful albeit haggard Hulk Hogan. Wrestling audiences worldwide should pray this does not transpire.
Hardy or Ray: whoever won the contest, not everyone would have been satisfied. Indeed, both wrestlers have now completed the turn to emulate Hogan’s once great swerve to join the Nwo at Bash at the Beach 1996. Hardy had his time with Immortal...

Uncertainty surrounds current Tna tag team champion Robert ‘Bobby’ Roode and his future with the company despite being scheduled to compete on tonight’s Lockdown PPV in a three team match.
Roode renewed his deal with Tna in March 2009 amidst rumours that he would be joining WWE. The deal tied him to Tna for 5 years which would suggest he’s still under contract until March 2014 however it is understood that his deal had an ‘option’ towards the end that allowed either side to end the agreement early. If Roode’s contact has such an option then it could now have come to an end.
Given Roode’s past loyalty to impact Wrestling and Dixie Carter it would be surprising if he were to leave without ‘doing the job’ and dropping the tag team titles but some are suggesting he’s a no show at the venue for the PPV which...

Fans of wrestling nationwide will have the pay-per-view pleasure tonight of watching Lockdown 2013, the latest crafted conflict from Tna Wrestling (and no, we looked it up, it actually stands for Total Non-stop Action). One of the big moments will be the tag-team title match, which will feature the preening Christopher Daniels and his partner, Kazarian, as they take on two other brawny, bellowing tandems.
At some point Daniels, a 43-year-old native of Kalamazoo, Mich., will likely strike a pose that he picked up in the Marvel Universe or in baneful Gotham City — that’s because the Lex Luthor look-a-like is...

Welcome to the latest installment of Tna Review, as it is time for the go-home show before the Lockdown PPV on Sunday. But, before Tna rolls into San Antonio, it is time for the company to build on the upcoming extravaganza to the fullest extent possible. The main headlines of course revolve around Aces & Eights, and after last week’s announcement of the teams for the signature Lethal Lockdown match, will the sides be colliding only a few days before the PPV? Also, with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line between Jeff Hardy and his challenger Bully Ray, will some tension begin to form over the apparent respect that the two competitors have for each other? The title match could use a little antagonism in order to ensure that the main event will be everything that it can possibly be at Lockdown.
Before continuing with the main narrative though,...

Welcome to this week’s Tna Review, unfortunately one day late due to an epic six-and-a-half hour game of Risk (for anybody interested, I won). But, let’s get down to business, as quite a great deal is expected to occur this week in the build-up to the Lockdown PPV. As the show is emanating once again from the Impact Zone following their British vacation, we will probably see the re-emergence of the World Champion Jeff Hardy, who was absent throughout the whole tour due to injury and his poor criminal record. What will he have to say about the injuries that he sustained at the hands of Aces & Eights four weeks prior, and also about the new threat to his World Championship in the form of Bully Ray-Hogan.
Speaking of Bully Ray, he was subjected to witnessing his father-in-law, General Manager Hulk Hogan, and his mentor and hero...

Once again we make the return to the Impact Zone, and what do we have in store on the road towards Lockdown on March 10. It is the final night in the UK, and hopefully Tna will leave it in style with their own brand of quality wrestling and storytelling. Tonight will see more championship action for the lucky British fans, as Rob Van Dam defends his X Division Championship against the supremely confident Kenny King, and Tara has her back against the wall when she has to defend her Tna Knockouts’ Championship against three hungry challengers, namely Gail Kim, Brooke Tessmacher and Velvet Sky, in a four-way elimination match.
In addition to the championship action, we will see if Hulk Hogan finally gets the opportunity to name the Number One Contender for Jeff Hardy’s World Championship, or will he once again be interrupted by the force of Aces & Eights.

On Valentine’s Day, there certainly is nothing better than inviting your best girl round, opening a nice bottle of champagne, and then watching a hard-hitting episode of Impact Wrestling. This week will see Aces & Eights’ response to their defeat at the hands of Bully Ray-Hogan and Sting in tag team tables action. How will they seek retribution, and could it have anything to do with the upcoming Lockdown PPV?
Furthermore, Hulk Hogan announced that there would be a tournament to determine the next challenger to Jeff Hardy for the World Championship, as eight of Impact Wrestling’s very best will go one-on-one to determine who will be the new No.1 Contender. With matches such as Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe and a match between the new Tna Tag Team Champions scheduled, it should be a wild night of fantastic wrestling back once again in jolly old England. So without further ado,...

It is once again time to react to the events of Impact Wrestling, and contemplate what they are doing right and wrong. However, this edition is special for two reasons. It is Open Fight Night, and the show is emanating from Manchester, England, and so you can be pretty sure to expect some old stereotypes being brought up by heels in order to draw some cheap heat. The English crowds are usually fired up as they often don’t get to feature as the background to a weekly wrestling recording, so they should provide suitably raucous responses to the drama that takes place in the ring.
But where are we in Tna after last week? The show ended with an Aces & Eights attack on the World Champion Jeff Hardy after he had successfully defended his title against Christopher Daniels. Now that the group has begun to target the World Champion,...

In this week’s edition of Tna Impact Wrestling, we are set to encounter the fallout from last week’s wedding fiasco. After Tazz’s shocking decision to join the Aces and Eights, the group gatecrashed the wedding and proceeded to take out every person in site, and forced Brooke Hogan to watch both her father and her fiancee Bully Ray get beaten down by the rebellious bandits. Also, there will be two championship matches, as Velvet Sky challenges Tara for the Knockouts Championship, and Jeff Hardy defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Christopher Daniels.
Tazz Speaks Out On His Betrayal
Tazz walks out to the ring accompanied by his Aces and Eights brethren, and begins to address the questions as to why he joined their group. In his reasoning, he mentions his thrill of being supported and guided by a higher power, which indicates that somebody particularly famous in...

Mick Foley has been announced as the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2013. After months of rumours suggesting that Foley would be inducted this year, The New York Post made the announcement today.
The Hardcore Legend made his WWE (then WWF) debut in 1996 after spells in WCW and Ecw. During his WWE tenure, Foley gained worldwide popularity under his three personas of Mankind, Cactus Jack and Dude Love. Foley became WWF Champion for the first time on January 4th 1999, defeating The Rock. His second reign began less than a month later, defeating The Rock once again. His third reign lasted one day, defeating Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H in a triple threat match at Survivor Series ’99. He lost the championship to Triple H the following night on Raw is War. Following Foley’s short reigns as champion, he feuded with Triple H before retiring from active competition.

The numbers are in for last weeks Tna Impact and they don’t look good. Tna Impact Wrestling which is hosted by the Spike TV Network scored a 0.97. The show was viewed by 1.31 million viewers. This is down form last weeks 0.98 and is back to its lowest since 2010.

This week, we had to get the fallout from Bobby Roode threatening the health of Dixie Carter after beating Sting at Victory Road. If only she’d used the ample time she had to get out of the ring to her advantage. And so Dixie joined us to open the show. Dixie made out like she was going to fire the champ, but Sting came out and claimed firing him was letting him off easy. Sting then said that his position as leader was just not working. So he said hes coming back as a wrestler to fight for Dixie and step down as General Manager. He did however promise that he had someone to take the company right to the top. Sting asked Dixie to let him give him the power to the Real Hulk Hogan. Dixie did her best to act conflicted. Later on in the show, in the main event slot,...

Yes folks, it’s Tna PPV time again and we’ve had a look into our crystal ball to see who will be upsetting who and who has all the gold when the dust has settled.
Over the last few months we’ve seen the slow build of Robert Roode as a legit heel World Champion despite knowing in our heart of hearts that he’s only carrying the title while Tna build James Storm into the new Super-Face of the company. In the meantime he’s been feuding with on-air authority figure Sting, which leads us into yet another PPV main event starring a wrestler way beyond his prime despite a full roster of young talent that could put on a show stealing performance.
Robbie E and his TV Title Open Challenge.

Bobby Roode retained successfully at Against All Odds so he rightfully was the main focus of the show this week. Although you have to question why he made Christy introduce him twice, he must be a glutton for punishment. He also rightfully pointed out that it’s Sting’s own fault he is still champion. The “Insane Icon” didn’t like this and so hit the ring and put him in a No Dq, No Time Limit match against Jeff Hardy in the first match. Is anyone still drug testing Jeff? Only someone on drugs could devise such terrible entrances and face paint every week. Either way, they had a decent opening match which even had a few spots around the stage and ramp. Hardy was all over Roode for the majority, and only lost when Kurt Angle made a return and threw Jeff into the steps.
