Tamar Braxton isn’t in a rush to pick up a peach for The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The singer and Braxton Family Values alum says she turned down the chance to become one of Bravo’s Rhoa housewives. “I’ve had conversations, but the truth is, like, [there’s] just no way I’m going to sit in makeup and get a wig put on and get my face beat to argue with a bunch of b*tches about nothing,” Braxton told Carlos King in a live episode of his Reality With the King podcast. “I can’t do it. What does that do for me in my life? Like, what’s the argument? I can’t.” For Braxton, positive representation is worth more than Real Housewives money. “Let me tell you something: All money ain’t good money,” she told the crowd at the podcast taping. “It’s just not.

AMC Networks — the company behind such cable channel brands as AMC, IFC and Sundance TV, as well as such streaming services as AMC+, Acorn TV and Shudder — reported a 23 percent drop in fourth-quarter U.S. advertising revenue Friday, following an 18 percent decline in the third quarter, a second-quarter drop of 17 percent and a first-quarter decrease of 20 percent.
After returning to streaming subscriber growth in the third quarter after two quarters of declines, the company added 300,000 subs in the fourth quarter to end 2023 with a total of 11.4 million.
The latest quarterly U.S. ad revenue update came for the final quarter of 2023, in which AMC Networks aired such original series as The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Ad revenue dropped to $158 million for the period due to linear ratings declines and a challenging ad market, the company said.

Once and future basic cable golden duo Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira toplined AMC Networks’ meeting with the Television Critics Association on Tuesday, as The Walking Dead actors capped off a presentation of new and returning series that, in many respects, would have made as much sense in 2014 as it does in 2024.
Lincoln and Gurira were on hand to hype the zombie franchise’s sixth spinoff, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. But the growing tally of Walking Dead off-shoots isn’t the only indication of how valuable past properties and players remain to the AMC brands. The media company, a consortium of cable networks (AMC, We TV, Sundance, IFC) and specialty streamers (AMC+, Acorn TV, Allblk, Shudder) banked big on familiar faces and titles over the course of the afternoon — trotting out a new vehicle for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul star Giancarlo Esposito (Parish), announcing a...

The 43-year-old former star of We tv's Braxton Family Values revealed on The Tamron Hall Show on Wednesday, Oct. 28, that she had contemplated suicide long before she acted on it. "Were you at home at the time?" host Tamron Hall asked Braxton. "Did you take pills?" After looking at the camera for several seconds and taking a deep breath, Braxton said, "It's so hard to say, Tamron, because I feel like there's a responsibility for- you know, I call them family, my fans, who watch. I don't want to give any examples. But what I will say is, that was my lowest point of life." When asked if she...

Marc Juris is stepping down as President and General Manager of We tv. He will leave the AMC network at the end of the year after seven years in the job. There is no immediate replacement.
“We first worked with Marc many years ago, when he was running original programming for an early version of AMC and then became the general manager who took the network from ad-free to ad-supported, a move that fueled much of the growth and distinction that was to follow,” said Josh Sapan, president and chief executive officer of AMC Networks. “His keen eye for brands and for compelling content have been demonstrated here and elsewhere. He’s recognized as a leader in our industry and for good reason. We wish him nothing but the best as he departs to find his next opportunity.”

Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz are exiting Magical Elves, the production company behind hits such as Top Chef, Project Runway and Nailed It, which they co-founded in 2001. The Emmy-winning producers will remain partners and are expected to launch a new company as as independent producers. Meanwhile, Magical Elves will remain a part of Tinopolis USA, the U.S. subsidiary of UK-based Tinopolis Group, which acquired the company in 2014.
It is a common practice for the founders of a successful production company that sells to leave when the five-year post-acquisition period, during which they are required to stay on, is up, and they go on to launch a new company with the goal of building it and eventually selling it.
Their departure comes as the owners of Tinopolis, which owns a slew of British production companies including Question Time producer Mentorn and Mums Make Porn producer Firecracker Films, are once again keen to sell.

Tinopolis chairman Arthur Smith, another prolific unscripted TV producer, will oversee production activity on Magical Elves shows as the founders move on.
“Against the backdrop of a continually evolving business, they have consistently helped us deliver thousands of hours of quality content as part of a world-class team,” said Tinopolis chairman Ron Jones and CEO Arwel Rees in a statement. “Dan and Jane’s creativity and professionalism have been their hallmark and those values will continue to be nurtured within Magical Elves through this transition and beyond.”

Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz are looking for their next act. The veteran unscripted producers, who sold their prolific Magical Elves shingle to British media giant Tinopolis Group in 2014, are leaving the company they founded after a 18-year run.
Per the transition agreement, the duo will continue to work on their current series — particularly Project Runway, which Bravo is relaunching after losing it to Lifetime a decade ago, and longtime flagship Top Chef. Under Cutforth and Lipsitz, Magical Elves has also launched the recent Netflix breakout Nailed It! and has the long-running We effort Braxton Family Values.

The definition of celebrity is pretty fluid these days. Of the dozen so-called famous names who are taking part in the second season of “Celebrity Big Brother,” most of them are best-known for their appearances on other reality TV competition shows. Five of the 12 have tried their hand at “Dancing with the Stars” with mixed results while two failed to win “Celebrity Apprentice.”
The five “CBB” houseguests who stumbled on “DWTS” are:
Jonathan Bennett: Season 19
The actor/host and partner Allison Holker finished in ninth place in the fall of 2014; actor Alfonso Ribeiro and his partner Witney Carson won.

“Celebrity Big Brother” just announced its cast for season 2, which is slated to start its three-week run on CBS on Monday, Jan. 21. As with the first edition of this “Big Brother” spin-off last year, this sophomore season includes an exile from Trump administration, Anthony Scaramucci. He lasted all of 10 days in his job as director of communications in the summer of 2017. Last year’s debut of “CBB” included one-time Trump White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman.
The other six men entering the “CBB” house this week are: actor/host Jonathan Bennett, comedian Tom Green (“Freddy Got Fingered”), actor/host Kato Kaelin, actor Joey Lawrence, Olympian Ryan Lochte and NFL player Ricky Williams.
The five women in the hunt include Tamar Braxton (“Braxton Family Values”), Kandi Burruss (“Real Housewives of Atlanta”), Olympian Lolo Jones, “momager” Dina Lohan and WWE wrestler Natalie Eva Marie.

Anthony Scaramucci better hope his stint in the “Big Brother” house is longer than his one in the White House. Donald Trump’s former director of communications, who held that job for all of 10 days in 2017, will now follow his ex-boss into the world of reality TV — as one of the contestants this month on CBS’ “Big Brother: Celebrity Edition.”
Scaramucci was among the latest roster of D-list celebs announced by the Eye Network on Sunday, along with other players like noted houseguest Kato Kaelin, Olympian Ryan Lochte and former heartthrob Joey Lawrence.
Scaramucci’s “Celebrity Big Brother” stay comes a year after another former member of the Trump administration, Omarosa Manigualt, spent time inside the house and offered up plenty of White House dish. Ironically, earlier this year Scaramucci told reporters that he had turned down several reality show offers. He later reportedly shopped his own show around town,...

They just don't make reality stars like they used to! We were reminded of the epicness of early-2ks VH1 on Aug. 30 when none other than Tiffany "New York" Pollard and Flavor Flav reunited for two iconic selfies! The former Flavor of Love flames were both in Wyoming for an event that was being filmed for Braxton Family Values, and though Us Weekly reports that the pair weren't aware that they'd be running into each other, it's clear it was all love when they did. Days after Toni Braxton appeared to tease their engagement on a trailer for the upcoming series of Braxton Family Values, rapper Birdman stopped by Wendy Williams’ daytime chat show Tuesday — but didn’t quite set the record straight.

The question produced both a smile and a warm response from Birdman.

Tamar Braxton is serious about retiring from music.
“There are a lot of things that I want to do, and a lot of things that are in the works,” she tells Et. “There's a lot of things that are going on in my relationship and me being close to this music industry, and whatever I can do to eliminate all of the stress and problems off of my relationship, I would rather do that.”
“My husband [music executive Vince Herbert] and I work very close together and it's really hard, you know?” Tamar continues. “Not only do we work together, he is my baby daddy and, you know, we've been together forever. He's my best friend. It's a lot of things to discuss and argue about.”
Tamar says her new album, Bluebird of Happiness, out Sept. 29, will be her last record ever, though she still plans to write songs for other artists.
