Sex & Nudity

  • Nya, Kai's younger sister, is shyly enamoured with Jay, the blue "lightning" ninja who also reciprocates these feelings. The two sometimes flirt, and in a few episode Nya gives Jay a kiss.
  • In Season 4, Kai, the red "fire" ninja, is enamoured with Skylor and harbors an innocent crush on the girl. The two occasionally flirt. Cole, the black "earth/rock" ninja, makes jokes about this, much to Kai's dismay.
  • The parents of the ninjas obviously love and care for their children. Occasional embraces and kisses between them.
  • There are three scenes with Ninja stalking girls in their rooms. No nudity is shown.
  • Several kisses can be seen.
  • In one scene a character touches another character's abs and says "I Love You."
  • Some of the ninja are seen shirtless a couple of times, they are also shredded in these scenes.
  • In Season 3, Cole tells Nya about children, what she understands to mean that their future children even though they are not married, even though he means their pupils.
  • Jay refers to a villain as a "silky-voiced seducer"
  • Throughout the sixth season, Nya is preyed on by an older character who wants to marry her despite being her being a teenager. He even forces a kiss on her.
  • Nya, Kai's younger sister, is shyly in love with of Jay, the blue "lightning" ninja. The two sometimes flirt and tear up while watching TV showing two adults in love about to hug and kiss. In one episode Nya gives Jay a kiss on the cheek. The two embrace and kiss whilst openly expressing their love in the Season 6 finale.

Violence & Gore

  • The ninjas are trained in martial arts-style fighting and wield traditional weapons like nunchaku, katana, and sai on their enemies. There are also plenty of hand-to-hand exchanges. It's not bloody as most of the villains get knocked out instead of dying.
  • There's a lot of violence to the show, as the heroes wield ninja weapons like bowstaffs, nunchaku, katanas and sai against the villains. None of the exchanges get bloody.
  • A character gets disintegrated.
  • Several characters are eaten alive off-screen.
  • Two characters get frozen alive and then destroyed.
  • A character dies from a missile explosion.
  • A giant snake gets blown up. A green goo can be seen oozing everywhere.
  • A charcter tries to hit another character but dies from his own weapon.
  • As the show progresses the Seasons become more mature with more violence and more deaths. The first Seasons are more carttony and the villains are knocked out instead of dying while later Seasons like 5 & 6 are more violent with many people dying.
  • In one episode Cole is shown to have scars on his chest
  • There are many character deaths throughout the series
  • Throughout the course of one episode in Season 6, a character, though sometimes offscreen, is beaten while chained as a means of torture.
  • During the first season there are battles from snakes that are known as slither pits there are no rules but the first time we see this the charachter that loses stays the second time we see this it is premsued that the person fighting dies
  • Garmadon uses his power to force choke a Charachter he is seen exploding into pieces but he is a robot garmadon then tries to use the power on a human but stops before killing her
  • Characters on the sides of good and evil are fighters; knives, swords, chains, explosive battles, punching, kicking and explosions are common. No major injuries or bloodshed, no gore. Only bruises and scratches.

Profanity

  • Characters use occasional name-calling insults like "stupid", "idiot," "loser," "jerk", "shut up," "heck", "freak", etc.
  • God is also used!
  • Other name calling includes windbag, bozo, wuss, overgrown, chucklehead, brick head, pesky, big baby, pest, skate rat, sudsy, etc

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Several scenes which take place in bars have characters drinking alcohol.
  • A character gets drunk and starts singing. Soon he passes out and gets kidnapped.
  • In one episode, Morro drinks liquid from a shot. Kids may think it's water, but it's implied it's alcohol when he says "It's been a while"
  • In season 1, during the pirate fight scene, one of the pirates is drinking alcohol. Not hard to miss.
  • A scene seems to show the Ninja drinking alcohol but they later explain the beverages as fruit punch.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Potentially scary moments involve monsters growling or grimacing or popping into sight quickly.
  • Expect some surprises and jumpscaress that will frighten very young kids. Overall, it is not scary.
  • A character turns another character into a cyborg. The process is not shown, but the character's screams can be heard.
  • A character puts on a Demon Mask and horns come through his head due to it's effect. He then starts spitting fire and fire blasts come through his eyes. The camera zooms out to reveal that this charcter got mutated and now has four arms.
  • When the great devourer is awoken Pythor screams in terror master wu holds him still for both of them to be eaten some sensitive children may get scared by this the devourer jumpscares the audience some times
  • A ghost character transforms into a mortal, but the process is very painful and he is seen writhing and yelling on the ground.
  • In an eerie scene, a character is chased by a horde of zombie-ish fangirls.

Sex & Nudity

  • Harumi acts very sexual towards Lloyd by kissing him on the cheek and later touching his abs as they get close. The word Love can be heard from her in a scene.
  • I the Season 3 episode "Blackout" Nya make a joke to Jay and Cole that they belong together. This is likely to fly over the heads of young children.
  • Lloyd secretly watches Harumi during the makeup and falls in love with her.
  • In season 6 Jay finds a book left by his father the books title is Cliffs Gordons Guide to Wooing Women Kids might be confused by this
  • Harumi. That's all the needs to be said.

Violence & Gore

  • In Season 8 the Ninja witness a terorist attack.
  • In the end of Season 1, The Great Devouer is released and eats everything on its way, killing many characters.
  • In season 1 Lloyd opens a snake tomb but only one snake is inside lloyd asks the snake where the others are the snake explains that all the snakes died from starvation while explaning his stomach moves around signalising he ate all them

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In season 6 the remaning ninja need a boat the captain of the ship is shown to be drunk but is hard to notice

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Garmadon gets possessed and it shows him screaming in pain as he grows claws and bigger teeth. The scene can be frightening and intense to sensitive children.
