Unable to reach a decision about Marnie's future, the family have their day in court. Far from being a civilised affair, the teams take up an aggressive stance of questioning, Marnie's life hangs in the balance.
It's been an excellent drama so far, but this fourth episode took it up yet another notch, this concluding episode was quite literally breathtaking.
The outcome wasn't the one I'd predicted, what a powerful scene that was. You truly can see how families fall out over things like this, what Nicci did to Andrew, that would have hurt.
All I'd say for anyone doubting Nicci's motives, just try and empathise, put yourself in her place, she's fighting hard for her daughter, when it seems as though everyone has given up on her.
Michael Sheen, once again, I'm not sure there's more I can say on the matter, it's a mesmerising performance.
I also have to give credit to Noma Dumezweni, that scene where Samantha was grilled was agonising, she gave her all.
I can see Sheen winning awards for his performance here.
10/10.
