TAUGHT IN COLD BLOOD is a serial killer cheapie suffering from the usual budgetary constraints but otherwise doing fairly well with the mildly interesting premise. It's quite well made, well shot, and well acted, not by the standards of a proper movie, but for the micro-budget sub-genre that it has a place in. The conflicted lead character has a measure of depth which is quite unusual and there isn't gore for gore's sake here. I appreciated the psychological angle of the proceedings although the latter romantic stuff is less interesting.

Pretty good (compared to the usual indie serial killer film)

Could have been good

Could have been good and it could have been great with a good script and a great cast.
The editing was lousy, the voice sync was dreadful. The actors were week, the lighting was poor, the camera angles were lame, the movie just didn't work.
But it had potential.
A proper budget and vrew could have made this into a KILLER MOVIE, butit just didn\t happen that way.
