The permit to film in the "Gorge" (Othello Tunnels, which was on BC Parks land) constituted a non-refundable $500.00 (plus $60 taxes) application fee and upon its approval, which was not guaranteed, another $500 (plus $60 taxes) permit fee had to be paid. Plus a $2,000,000.00 (2) day filming insurance was required which cost $500.00 (plus BC taxes).
The Sheriff and Deputy uniforms were provided by IMS Ltd in Aldergrove BC. This company is owned and run by Military advisor, Ian D. Newby, Major CF (ret.) who also worked on FIRST BLOOD in 1981 in the same capacity.
The Hope part of the shoot occurred on the Sept. 25-26 2010 weekend.
The film utilized many of the same existing locations in Hope, BC that the original FIRST BLOOD production used in 1981. The original "Rambo" bridge was scheduled to be demolished in early 2011 and as the film crew shot their version of the bridge scene, right next door construction crews were building the new bridge that is to replace the old structure.
The credit sequence was a total ad-libbed scene between Dayleigh and Sheldon. 3 takes were shot and edited together which comprises the final end credits.
