Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert review five new movies.
The Hunt for Red October (1990): two thumbs up for the exciting Tom Clancy thriller.
House Party (1990): a split vote for the music-filled black youth comedy. Siskel found the story wooden and predictable; Ebert thought the movie was a lot of fun.
Courage Mountain (1990): two thumbs down for the modernized Heidi story.
Rosalie Goes Shopping (1989): a split vote. Siskel didn't buy the story about a West German immigrant woman in Arkansas stealing the good life on credit; Ebert did.
Too Beautiful for You (1989): two thumbs up for the French love story. Both critics praise its adult attitude toward sex and physical appearance; Ebert criticizes only the fantasy sequences.
