I loved the odes to previous shows and the jokes that ensued. It makes for a more enjoyable show to be reminded of shows and characters from earlier in life. Clever storyline that progressed the relationships further than before.

Best ep since the ep Cass was introduced

This episode was great! It was an all around well-written 40-something minutes that hit many notes, but mainly summed up by its title, delving into various past conflicts deeper with an overall theme of bygones be bygones and leaving things in the past, be it Walker and Twyla's history, Chief James's marriage and frustrations with Walker, Auggie and his teen problems with Faye, and Stella and Colton, Bonham and Dan. It has a really fun vibe with Cass and her obsession with some 90's fake show and references throughout. They better do a fantasy episode about that. There was more continuity and character development, building on Twyla and Walker's earlier undercover times. There was a nice Archibald Faketwist near the end, but overall it really brought this ancillary character that was once collateral damage and a means to an end to the forefront and possibly as a love interest for Walker given his current sitch with Geri. And Twyla and Walker's chemistry is great. I hope they bring her in on more episodes. The ending was a great beginning. A fun episode that I hope will not be the last of its kind...
Great episode that strengthens an already strong sophomore season

I loved this episode! I think it did a fantastic job of adding depth to these characters and continuing the story, all while delivering some fun, clever banter.
I've always appreciated when writers and showrunners go out of their way to create an immersive experience that feels like this could be a real world. This is no better showcased than the cold open with "Hawk's Shadow."
Really looking forward to more episodes like this that are fun and further explore the world of "Walker."

Fun While Hitting all the Emotional Notes Right

Warning: Spoilers
I know Twyla Jean as the "bad girl" will probably not end up with Cordell. But I'm going to take a moment and thoroughly enjoy the (RE)meet cute ending that suggests she "might."
The chemistry is extreme and she's dragging far fewer actual bodies behind her than Geri. (Plus, Geri then can be the Davidson left standing to inherit the land--or get the portion they bought, before the rest are packed out of town. The friend. The aunt. The sensible.)
--- Beyond the Cordell/Twyla sexual tension, however:
This whole thing was just such a classy, fun, fast-paced case in the A plot.
High fashion, smooth plot, great music.
The mobster extra mobstery, too.
B plot was excellent as Larry, Trey, and AUGGIE (who doesn't get enough chances like this) are exploring FEeliNGS.
Sounds very "new age," right? But with sledgehammers it turns out to also be "cool."
Larry with Kelly? I melted.
Trey consulting with the Rangers? I chuckled, as we have him on another different job.
Auggie showing an edge and a really good jab.
--- No, I'm not loving the redux Romeo & Juliet of Stella and Colton, but I'm hoping the overriding scent of poisonous nightshade might indicate she won't be a fool.
--- Great visuals. Great site locations.
Love, love, love the costumers--both for making Cordell & Twyla look so hot, but also for dressing Stella down when she was just out "poking around." (Not every girl or woman has to be glam 24/7, after all.)
The hour flew.

Archibald Fakename!

All the men have women problems, Cordell is double teamed by fiery Perez and unpredictable Twyla - they turn him into a jabbering wreck.
A great core story with a few twists albeit mostly predictable. Some good action, which has improved significantly since the introduction of the pocket-rocket Perez. The side story with pseudo therapy is lame and unnecessary, it would have been better ditched to beef up the main plot.
Overall a decent episode.
