I'm a girl, also not a big fan of football... However I still love the show!
There might be a few cheesy jokes here and there, but very few... Extremely faaaaaaar in between and they aren't the focus and I'm able to tolerate them.
The animation is cool, I love the characters. What else to say! 9\10.

A fun and light-hearted show that doesn't take itself too seriously

I'm definitely biased as I grew up watching this series when it aired on TV. But I've recently started catching up with the latest episodes online, and I personally think the show just got even better throughout time.
The jokes and general style of humor gets random, the shots get even more ridiculous, and most importantly, you can tell the creators knows how ridiculous it is and is, like many kids' shows, not to be taken seriously. Of course they win (almost) all the time and perform the most unnecessary kicks and passes, but that's all what makes it a very entertaining watch.
The characters are quirky and I love the diversity, what was in the beginning rather full of stereotypes, but I appreciate that the show represents so many nationalities. There are even episodes showcasing various techniques/sports/etc. From different countries, which is also a great way for the audience to learn more about so many cultures around the world.
Animation keeps getting better, and I've even been impressed by some scenes and how smooth the animation is. The expressions and movements are dynamic, and with this level of constant improvement, the recycled shots (especially of the fans) are definitely excusable.
The soundtrack is one if my favorite aspects of the show. The theme song is an absolute hit: epic, catchy and iconic. The background music fits perfectly to the episode its accompanying and incorporates so many elements from different genres, though I'm especially a huge fan of the electric guitar that plays during their some of their games.
I literally cannot recommend this show enough for people who just want a show that does its job well in entertaining. I grew really attached to the characters and their ups and downs, and I can say the same about some of my friends who are also fans of the show.

I'm not a big fan of the show, but I don't think it's bad. Characters and their designs are unique and interesting, animation is getting better and better with every season, the episodes never get boring. Cringy jokes and (mostly) flat antagonists are the disadvantages.

This show is really boring. It tries to be funny too hard which makes it instead cringy. It also tries to have "epic moments" that make it even cringier. It has really poor animation and it is really predictable. I mean you never worry about them because in every freaking episode they win. What's the fun in that??! It would be cool if they lose in some episodes and win in others to make the viewer actually curious to see how the episode is going to unfold. Also for some reason the characters make football look like nuclear science, the protagonists having their headquarters in a desert full of whires and high tech security as if they work in area 51. Let's talk about characters now. It's simple. Every character that is not part of the protagonist team is mean and a jerk. It tries to make the protagonists look perfect with no flaws and whoever is not in their team is a villain. There even is a character that can whirl arround like Taz from Looney Tunes. What the heck??!!!
All in all i find this series really boring and the script looks like it was written by a 8 year old. The only way i could see enjoying this series is if I where 5 years old and a hardcore soccer fan.
