You really have to hand it to former Oscar winner Rita Moreno. She seems to have found her niche playing a Jewish mother in this comedy. Both she and the guy playing her husband still show favoritism towards Fran's ex-husband.
We see an ironic twist in this episode when Fran spills the beans to a woman that the guy she is about to marry is just like Peter. Fran is ethical. She doesn't want the girl to wind up as she did after 18 years with Peter.
As stated, the segment with Rita Moreno is funny. Moreno's movements and the referral to the blintz (blintzes) broke me up.
Coming out gay or not, Fran and Pete still love each other. The proof is their anniversary night.
