An emotional depiction of daily Cuban life
florindr8 March 2013
Saw this movie as part of the One World documentary festival and I was deeply touched.

It evokes the state of a proud nation while coping with the daily misery. It makes no judgments but juxtaposes powerful images that abound in symbols.

The photography is enchanting and you wish some frames would linger for longer. The images are strong and highly evocative and capture the essence of the Cuban culture without falling into the touristic clichés nor the pantheism of human rights activists.

It's a well balanced insight into the present day lives of the Cuban people. One of the best documentaries I have seen!
