- 'Genderf*kation: A Gender Emancipation' is the story of six individuals and their journey through the social, religious and political landscapes of a society that struggles to understand or allows for gender variations. This documentary includes provocative interviews with professionals and outreach members who are active in this community to help shed light on a very unfamiliar subject. This film breaks through the gender stereo-types and historical gender ideologies to liberate our bodies, minds and spirits from our own social Gender Dysphoria. Although 'Genderf*kation: A Gender Emancipation' is based in Minnesota, the subject matter is universal. It explores real life concepts, issues, and reactions to individuals who self identify and/or fall outside of traditional gender and sexual identities. We instead focus on gender identity, aiming to present the life experiences of Trans, Queer, and Gender variant individuals and their respective connections to and disconnects from societal, religious and political institutions and personal relationships.—Producers of Genderf*kation
- Forget everything you think you know about gender and experience Genderf*kation: A Gender Emancipation.
This documentary shares the story of six individuals who deal with and challenge the gender norms in our social, political and religious landscapes on a day-to-day basis. In spite of the standard definitions of feminine and masculine ideologies, in our cultures, these individuals choose to live outside those boxes and they tell us what it's like to come out to themselves, their family and friends, at work or at school and to the world. The essence of this story is in its attempt to flip the script of years of gender policing and gender oppression to liberate ourselves and society from our own gender constructs and gender binaries. The six individuals are joined by experts (Advocates in the field) who help to identify the world they live in.
