When the hosts sit down with the homeowners, they are given a sketch of an alleged evil entity which haunts their house. Yet neither the man nor the wife question the female host, not even so much as just ask: "those imaginary things actually exist? They are real?" which has been a constant with this show. Astute viewers take this as indication that the show has always been scripted, and the alleged homeowners are simply paid actors.
In over a dozen years this show has been airing, not once has Amy, Steve or a cameraman ever been scratched nor attacked by the so-called demons and ghosts who allegedly attack the homeowners night and day. Amy films at night and Steve during the daytime, yet Dead Files camera crew has never once filmed any activity whatsoever.
The process of editing a TV show, which might be lost on modern audiences, clearly gives away their ruse. TDF claims that, in order to prevent undue influence on the other's findings, allegedly, both Amy and Steve make it a point to investigate independently of the other, and supposedly only interact with each other at the end when they reveal their findings to the clients. Amy's cameraman is seen going into the house ahead of time, and removing pictures, religious items, and any other personal items that may lead Amy or influence her reading. However, of course, there is no way to corroborate this, or that she wasn't shown the homeowners items ahead of time. And this does not matter because Amy always repeats the same thing over and over again about there being a mean ghost who is being 'very bad', and who acts out when they don't get any attention. In reality, they are all actors posing as 'homeowners with a ghost" and the whole thing is scripted. This is corroborated by simply watching the show back to back, as the Travel Channel tends to air them every week, and hearing Amy constantly repeat the same exact monologues, as does Steve. Of course, Amy, being no psychic, does not 'predict" anything at all. It has long been revealed that so-called reality TV shows are of course scripted ahead of time and nothing is left to chance.
In over a dozen seasons, not a single homeowner has ever produced any video footage of the violent paranormal activity they claim takes place in their house night and day, non-stop in many cases; they are homeowners who live in expensive houses and could easily afford video recording equipment yet none of them has been able to set up a tripod or even record anything paranormal whatsoever with their cell phone.
An indication that this show isn't quite on the up and up is that the homeowners do have cameras, since they film themselves at the end to give an update about the activity, yet they never bother themselves to capture video of such alleged paranormal activity.
