- A man and woman have sex, moaning is heard before you see them. This is fairly graphic, however there is no nudity.

- At the start of the episode, there is a large fight between the Native Americans and the men from Hell on Wheels. This contains loads of arrows and some blood. At one point a man smashes a native's face (off screen) while blood and brain matter spray on his face.
- A man carves a portion of his own skin off to punish himself.
- At the end, a man is fully decapitated with a sword. Blood sprays on the wall behind the man and on the face of the murderer. This is brief but very sudden and graphic.
