And once again, for the better. Season 8 is probably the most thrilling year of the Desperate Housewives series. This first half of season, ends on a great cliffhanger, very similar to the pilot's opening, and I'm glad writers decided Bree would take on that role. Marcia Cross's acting there, has Kimberly Shaw vibes, which is great. And seeing Bree growing into the new « Mary Alice », perfected her arc. Since writers barely mentioned how close they used to be, when Mary Alice was still alive. Susan's paintings screw up, was to be expected. But what annoyed me the most about it, was how she was unable to find a symbolic behind the glowing corpse. To confuse Chuck, and get him off her back. Lynette is a mess, but I love her vulnerable side. And how Tom is still there for her, even though it drives him mad. Jane is ok, but needs to back off, and realize she's just a rebound. Of course, Gabby gave me my fair share of laughs this episode, and « her » therapy session, was up there with her and Bree trying to drive Alejandro's car, and Lynette hiding under Tom's bed, this season. I also love how her and Carlos stick together, in hopes he didn't cross the line again, this time. Renee is still a delight, only I don't think her and Ben click, and she should've been in on the housewives secret by now...
